James Maynard Obituary

James and Estelle Maynard
June 28, 1932 - April 7, 2022
Fair Oaks, California - James (Jim) Warren Maynard passed away on 4/9/2021. He was a loving father, husband and caring friend and will be dearly missed by all. Jim served the US ARMY in Korea in 1952 and 1953. He moved to California from New Hampshire in 1954, settling and staying in Fair Oaks for almost 70 years. James worked for many years at Aerojet General in the solid propulsion group as a draftsman/designer. He enjoyed fishing and hiking with the boy scouts when his children were young. After retirement, he volunteered with the HARPS group helping senior citizens with home repairs and small projects.
Estelle (Tillie) B. Maynard (nee Boulay) passed away on 4/7/2022. She was a loving mother, wife and caring friend and will be dearly missed by all. Tillie was a graduate of the Keene State Teachers College and moved with Jim as a newlywed to California in 1954. Estelle worked many years for the San Juan Unified School District as a substitute, predominately at Bella Vista High School, teaching French and English.
The two were predeceased by their son Mark James who died in 2005. They are survived by a son, Charles Douglas living in Fallon, NV and a daughter Susan Louise living in Orlando, FL.
Their remains will be placed at the Fair Oaks Cemetery in a private ceremony. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.

Estelle and Jim were neighbors on Plantation and always so willing to attend meetings regarding the park behind our properties. We often chatted when we were out walking the neighborhood. Such dear neighbors. Our sympathy on your loss.

I knew both Jim and Tillie Maynard. They were my parents neighbors for years on Plantation Dr. I was so saddened to read about their passing. I am so sorry, to hear about those dear neighbors. They were so helpful when both of my parents were ill or couldn't get around. Tilllie, was the sweetest person you'd ever want to meet. I knew they had a few children, but sadly I never got to meet them, as I had a family of my own. My sincerest condolences to their daughter and son, who remain. May they both rest in love and peace.
