MOORE, James E.
Sept. 24, 1940 - Dec. 8, 2008
Born in Tyler, Texas, James E. Moore grew up in the ''V'' Street and Land Park neighborhoods of Sacramento. He graduated from Sacramento High School and received a Bachelor of Science degree from USF. He was a self employed businessman dealing primarily in land syndication. He was preceded in death by his parents Artaive and Oserine (stepfather) Moore and father, George W. Tucker. He is survived by daughters Teresa Means of Elk Grove, Angela Moore, Oakland and three grandchildren, Alexandra, Tyler and Christopher of Elk Grove. Also survived by siblings Dennis, Jellether and Marilyn Moore of Sacramento, Sandra Lakin of Hawaii, former wife Gayle Moore and a host of family and friends. Visitation is Monday, Dec. 15, 2008, from 1:00 - 7:00 p.m., Rosary and tributes at 6:00 p.m. at Thompson Rose Chapel, 3601 5th Ave, Sacramento. Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2008, at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, 1017 11th St., Sacramento. Internment at East Lawn Memorial Park, 43rd and Folsom Bl. In memory of James E. Moore, remembrances requested to American Diabetes Association at www.diabetes.org.

My deepest sympathy to the family.Sorry to hear of an former classmate at W.Land School ,he was a real great person; I recall he brought my coat from school which I forgotten on his bike. We were the V street -W street. He was gentleman which I saw him again in the 70' at a gathering. Still the same charming person. Sad to hear of his pastiing. Will miss his charming face but in our heart he will alway be there.
