Jeffrey Doyle Obituary

Jeff Doyle passed away on Wednesday January 7, 2015 at the age of 55. He was born at March Air Force Base in Riverside, CA, on March 16, 1959 to Gerald & Theresa Doyle. Jeff was a devoted family man and a man of faith. He enjoyed long road trips, camping with his family & pets & fishing. He was a very caring, generous, & honest man with integrity & strong principles. He retired from a career in corrections in 2009, after serving for over 20 years. He began his career as a correctional peace officer, but spent a majority of his public service as a parole officer. Additionally, he served as Vice President for the California Correctional Peace Officers' Association (CCPOA) and was well respected for his fairness and treatment towards coworkers and inmates/paroles alike. His talent with words led to his founding of Pacovilla.com where he regularly exposed hypocrisy and fraud within the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR). His satirical wit made the site an ideal forum where the common line officer could commiserate with fellow workers, vent frustrations about working conditions and laugh at lampoons of state officials, administrators and bureaucrats. He had beautiful blue eyes & a handsome smile. He loved to laugh & to make others laugh with him. We love him dearly & he will forever be missed. He will always be in our hearts. He is survived by his wife, Loni, daughter Lynnette & her husband, Kris Boughton, daughter Jessica & her husband, Brian Ruley, brother Greg & his wife Linda Doyle & his parents, Jerry & Terry Doyle. Jeff had three grandchildren, Jesse Boughton & Paul and Elise Ruley. He looked forward to meeting his grandson, Liam Jeffrey Ruley due later this month. His services were held at the East Lawn in Sacramento, CA on January 14, 2015.

Lonnie, Lynette and Jessica, I am so sorry about Jeff. I just attended a funeral for a friend in Fresno on July 24-25 and was told about Jeff. It is sad how two guys can be so close for so long, retire, move out of state, be so involved with their family and somehow lose contact. Jeff was one of a kind, a great guy and like a brother for over 20 years. He loved you 3 beautiful ladies and will be missed by everyone who ever really knew him. I don't do facebook or any social media, have been on Pacovilla once in about 8 years since I retired and moved out of California, would have been there if I had known and I am so sorry for your loss. Anna and the kids all give your family their condolences.

Can't help but love you more each day. Never truly knew what a broken heart felt like until I learned I'd not see you again in this life. I miss you terribly Pop. I miss laughing with you and wish like I've never wished before that you were here to make fun of me and all of us. You still make me smile though, and I'm eternally grateful for the time we had.

Missing you just as much today as I did the day you went to heaven. Thank you Dad for being a great father and taking care of us and loving me unconditionally. You did so much for me and Brian and we appreciate all of it. I love you Dad and will miss you for the rest of my life. One day we will all be together again.

Jeff was my youngest son. Death came in the back door and took him away. I had always counted on my sons Jeff and Greg to take care of me after I passed. Now the duty falls on my remaining son Greg. Jeff you are missed. Your presence is gone but your love is with us forever. LOVE, as always Dad

Miss you my brother.... I will see you one day there too with love and much respect.

To the Doyle family. I am so sorry Loni, Lynette, and Jessica and other family members to have not been present for Jeff's funeral as I was on the East coast and not able to get here in time. I had the greatest amount of respect for Jeff and his humor. Jeff and I were co-workers at the start of our careers some 30 years ago and became friends. I will miss him dearly, he was a Brother, true friend, and mentor. I pray now for us whom remain to toil with our common world and all of the day to day issues. I know that Jeff is with our Lord and Savior and knowing Jeff and his satire he is giving good advice and some laughter amongst the Saints. I am a better person for having knowing Jeff and counted him as a very true friend. So I close with famous words from my Brother Jeff, " There ya Go Buddy Boy, keep an eye on the prize and watch your Six ". Thank you Loni and the Doyle family for sharing Jeff with us all.

God Bless,

Michael C. Stephen

Jeff, I woke up today and decided to reconnect, it's been years since we worked together, it was the best years of my life. I am crushed that you have passed, that I missed seeing you again, that I missed your funeral and no doubt a wake. I wish I could tell you face to face that you were a good friend to me when I needed one. You were a hard worker, an honest man and as good husband and father. We laughed like hell most of the time when we were chasing bad guys. My father is there at East Lawn, he was a Cop too, his name is Emmett Augustus Spraktes, I will visit you and Dad very soon brother. I'm so sorry I failed to reconnect sooner....

Little brother, I know I will see you again in the Presence of our Creator. If you can hold a seat for me close to the throne, I would be forever in your debt. Your sudden departure gives a whole new meaning to the phrase "love you to death." Personally, I prefer to love you beyond death. See you soon enough. I miss your very much.

Even though I couldn't be with the family during this sad time, please know that I care for and love all of you so very much and I am thinking of you every day. Nothing I write will ease your sorrow but know that I keep you and the family in my prayers to God that he continues to ease your pain as you mourn the loss of Jeff. Love, Cousin Colleen

I just wanted to give some love to my husband's family. Jeff was his only uncle on his dad's side. Brian and Jeff would talk online, and would include our little sons. Jeff's great nephews (our 3 sons) received "Doyle" shirts made especially for them by their great uncle Jeff. Although I didn't get to know Jeff very well before his passing, I know that he accepted me into the Doyle clan. He also respected our calling to leave California and prayed for us.
I can understand that funerals are meant for the living. I wished it had been a birthday bash that we all got together, but this meeting and reunion of sorts was a celebration for a life cut unexpectedly.
I love you and pray for you, Loni, Lynnette, and Jessica!
