Jeffrey Sperbeck Obituary

Jeffrey Michael Sperbeck

April 17, 1963 - April 30, 2025

San Clemente, California - Jeffrey Michael Sperbeck passed away on April 30, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of joy and unwavering love for family.

Born to Helen and Dick Sperbeck in Sacramento, Jeff attended Sacred Heart Parish School and Jesuit High School (class of 1981). A natural athlete who grew up around sports, he played football at Sacramento City College before transferring to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.

After graduating he launched a career as a football agent in the Bay Area, serving as a trusted adviser to over 100 NFL players. His charismatic personality and unique ability to connect with people made clients feel like family, and he cherished the relationships he made over his 30-year career.

Jeff was most proud of his role as father to Carly (33), Samantha (31), and Jackson (27), whom he shared with his first wife Anne. Raising their family in the East Bay, Jeff could often be found watching his kids' sports games, working in the yard, and grilling by the pool. Most recently, he was thrilled to become a grandfather and adored his granddaughters Josie and Bo.

Known for his sense of humor, contagious spirit, and youthfulness, Jeff made those around him feel like there was so much to celebrate. He appreciated good music and was known to be last on the dance floor.

In his later years, Jeff and his wife Cori made every day count, whether at home or on spontaneous adventures. Together they enjoyed traveling, tennis, golf, and live music. All his life, Jeff's favorite place was Lake Tahoe, where he made countless memories with loved ones over the years.

Jeff is survived by many who will miss him dearly: his mother Helen Sperbeck; his children Carly (Max) Nordemann, Samantha Sperbeck, and Jackson Sperbeck; his granddaughters Josephine "Josie" and Bo Nordemann (Carly); his wife Cori Sperbeck and her children (Maddison, Jack, and Brooklyn); his siblings Marshall (Kelle) Sperbeck, Stacey (Kenny) O'Brien, and Jennifer (Brian) Lagomarsino; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Jeff's honor on Saturday, June 7, at 1 p.m. at Jesuit High School. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Jesuit High School Sacramento Scholarship Fund in his memory.
