Joan Beach Obituary
Passed away at her residence surrounded by her loving family on April 5, 2007 at the age of 66 years. A native of Sacramento, CA. She was the beloved wife of Charles Beach for 49 years. Loving mother of Debra Beach and Brenda Gilbert and husband Andy. Cherished and devoted sister of Jill Rogers and husband Glenn. Loved Aunt of Robin and Wendy Rogers, Sherry Van Dyke, Garry and Kelly Rose. Caring sister in-law of Carol Annagoni. Preceded in death by her parents Dorothy and Curtis Wackford and her sister Barbara Henry. Joan was a member of the Mercy Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program for many years. She also loved her flowers, growing tomato plants and loved her house on the hill. Joan was very passionate about crocheting and crocheted doll dresses at Christmas time for the Salvation Army and participated in many craft fairs with her best friend and sister Jill. Joan was also an avid fan of old time radio detective and mystery shows. Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Service Friday, April 13, at 10:00am at EAST LAWN ANDREWS & GREILICH MORTUARY, 3939 Fruitridge Road. Remembrances to the Mercy Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program in lieu of flowers.

I think of Joanie and "love" comes to mind. Jill, Joanie, and crafts... and quite often their creative works were given as gifts. The two of them worked long hours on Christmas dolls for kids and put love into everything they made. I cherish the little crafted and crocheted pins that Joanie gave me over the years and was just admiring the pretty little floral wreath that she and Jill made for me not long ago. Joanie... thinking of others... love.
I can imagine Joanie getting together with her mom and dad and Bobbie. What a fun time they must be having!
