ALEGRIA, John J.
January 27, 1924 - August 3, 2009
Passed away peacefully with his family by his side on August 3, 2009, in Sacramento, Calif., at the age of 85. He was born on January 27, 1924. He is survived by his wife Margarita Alegria, his children Margie Wong (Dennis), Norma Munoz (Jose), Irene Perez, Gloria Alegria, John L. Alegria (Yolanda), and Bernice Espinoza (Carlos), plus nine beloved grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and numerous family members and friends. Also survived by his siblings: sister Maria Garcia (widow) and brothers Ralph Alegria (Lupe) and Jose Alegria (Eva). He retired from Southern Pacific Railroad in 1983, having worked 37 years. He was a member of EDAD DE ORO (Golden Age Senior Organization). John was in the Army and served in the Korean War. John has touched so many people's lives in so many ways it would take a lifetime to write it down. John will be missed but never forgotten by the people he left behind, He will be warmly greeted by those who passed before him. We love you and will try to emulate your wisdom and kindness. ''Rest in Peace.'' Friends and family are invited to attend the service on August 14, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. at North Sacramento Funeral Home, 725 El Camino Avenue, Sacramento, CA 95815.

I Love you Tio! I could remember all the family Party's and how you would always be looking for someone to dance with you, you were always a crack up tio, you always made me laugh.
