MEYER, JOHN (JACK) W.

Born 9-12-1925 in Sacramento, California. Passed away 9-15-2002 at home surrounded by his loving family after a lengthy battle with cancer. A devoted husband, father, grandfather and 49er football fan. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Gwen L. Meyer of Sacramento, brother Harold Meyer of Sacramento, sons & daughters-in-law Kim & LaVonne Meyer of Lodi, Ron & Jenene Meyer of Elk Grove, daughter Kama Goza of Rancho Cordova, grandchildren Kristen & Jason Meyer, Brent & Ryan Meyer, Sumer & Christopher Goza. John served in the U.S. Navy in World War II and retired from the Sacramento Army Depot in 1980 after 38 years of service. A memorial service will be held at Sacramento Memorial Lawn Friday, 9-20-2002 at 10:30 a.m. A reception will follow. Donations in memory of John may be made to Kaiser Hospice Program, 2025 MORRIS AVE SACRAMENTO, CA 95825.
