To My Dear Dad,
We love you and miss you more than any words could express. I feel your presence everywhere but also the huge void of you being gone in every single moment of every single day. The reason this hurts so much is because of the amazing and loving person you are. Everyone has shared with me many things I have always known. Your loyalty, generosity, infectious smile and laughter, caring spirit, and genuine self is something that can never be replaced and will never be forgotten. We love you Dad and look forward to the day we meet again. I am one proud daughter. Love, Kaitlyn

I was a childhood friend of Johnny and his family. I lost touch and sad to find out about his passing. My condolences to his family and friends. I remember swimming at his home and playing chess with him. I'm so happy about his legacy. Nicholas' words were so nice to read. I also hope Anthony is doing ok. I wonder if he would remember the Jordan family? I miss Mary, Emmett and Johnny. I really hope to learn more about his life someday. His kids must be amazing. I would have loved to meet them.

I was saddened and shocked to hear of John's passing. We knew John through our daughters, Kaitlyn and Lisa, who played soccer together. He was always smiling and friendly and easy to talk with. The last time I spoke with him he proudly told me that Kaitlyn was going to be a nurse. He was so proud of his little girl. I'm extremely sorry for your tragic loss. Yvonne, Ken and Lisa Inouye

Wow I am so saddened by the news that this great man is no longer with us. I knew Johnny from our days working together at the Henderson Group. He was always kind and helpful and never never stoped gushing about how much he loved his family. His children were so important to him. He was also very funny and always made everyone laugh. We lost touch over the years but I always had fond thoughts of him and the world is definitely a lot less bright without him in it. Rest in peace. You were a great human being!

I lived at 76 Taylor Way,we moved there in 1965. John never stopped smiling. Only guy I knew who had a pet alligator and a racoon when we were teens. Good scuba diver too, great photo with his dad looking for sea monsters. You will be missed. D

John and I met while building a Restaurant in Lincoln, Ca. We then worked together on several other sites throughout the last 12 years or so.
More importantly, through the years we became close friends. My wife and I met with him occasionally and talked with him almost every week. He felt like more of a family member than a friend.
He was a presence in any gathering with his quick smile and contagious laugh. John was in love with life, his family and the special lady in his life, and talked of them during almost every conversation.
We will always be thankful that we knew John and he will be in our thoughts often.

I met Johnny about 1985 when he left construction and started his commercial real estate career with the Henderson Group as my runner. Always a smile, he quickly earned the name as Shortcut Johnny, as he built a highly successful career. Family first, he cared deeply about his; all 4 kids, loving & supporting his Mom & his brother. Quick to cut to the chase and use his time wisely sniffing out the opportunities and acting to make his clients & himself successful.

I have known Johnny Morris for about 20 years now. We first me through work as he was our Sacramento area Real Estate Broker for then, Kragen Auto Parts. When I first made the transition from Market Research to real estate deal making, John took me under his wing and appointed himself as my mentor and what a great mentor he was. We would spend hours on the phone talking about commercial real estate deal making and he guided me through numerous real estate deals, and most of these deals he wasn't even involved in, which speaks volumes to John's character and his willingness to help a friend. When I needed a friend to listen and guide me through my divorce Johnny was there. When I just needed a friend, Johnny was always there. John would often speak about his family, in many ways I was envious because he was so proud of his family and he loved his children dearly. The last time I saw Johnny was right around his last birthday and we met for dinner at Bandera; I needed a quick hand that night to grab the dinner bill. When he asked me why I grabbed the bill, I said, it's your birthday and this is my treat happy birthday Johnny, I love you, he got choked up and a tear ran down his cheek. I am a blessed man to have known Johnny Morris, and while this world is a lesser place without our friend, Heaven is now a better place with his presence. Johnny Morris we do miss you but a part of you will live on in each person you impacted while on this earth. Rest in Peace my brother, I love you.

This last month has been the worst of my life. How is any of this fair? How does it ever become ok to lose your dad?Especially when I have a dad like mine! My dad has always been the rock of our family. Hes always known whats most important in life. Its the relationships he made. Hes always loved his kids with all of his heart. As painful as this has been, I feel so lucky to have my dad love me for 35 years. One of my friends told me she sees so much of my dad in me. I couldnt of been more proud. Those were the words I needed to hear at that moment. If I can live the rest of my life making my dad proud, then Ill know I lived a valuable life full of love and memories. Dad I miss you so much, but I know Ill see you again. Just make sure you save me some of ur old man kisses. I love you -Your son, Nicholas

My four sisters and I grew up together on Taylor Way. I was younger, but still knew him from my older sister Victoria who was more his age. But just in the last 3 and 4 years I met up with John again many times while I walked with my mom in the neighborhood. He was always so friendly and thoughtful and easy to talk to. Not to long ago he was telling me about this bike he bought and how it was not easy to ride. He just went on about it while he was watering his lawn. He was like a big brother I never had. And how I thought I would surely miss not seeing him as much since my mom had passed away and I would not be on the street like I was. I was just talking with him a day or two before Thanksgiving and I was very upset because of the loss of my mom. He was so understanding. Wow, he was a great guy and will truly be miss. My sincere condolences. Love, Angela (Schmidt) Matthews, 57 Taylor Way.

I still think this is all a terrible nightmare and I will wake up to find that Johnny is still here. I have known Johnny my entire life, he grew up next door to my Grandma. I used to watch him and Anthony swimming in their pool through the knot holes in the fence and would try to get up my courage to go and ask Mary, their Mom, if I could go swimming with them, she always let me :-)
Johnny, I promise our grandchildren will grow up always remembering their "PaPa Pickle Nose" and all the good things about you. You will be missed by so many..... xoxoxo
