John M. "Jack" Neath

1921 - 2018

John "Jack" M. Neath born on Nov. 4, 1921, died peacefully at home on April 8, 2018 in Sacramento. Jack grew up in Berkeley and lived for many years in Hayward with his family and where he had many friends. He took pride in his neighborhood and community loved piloting small aircraft, photography, home renovation projects, and camping trips to Yosemite. A mechanic by trade in the civil service, he joined the Navy in WWII and extended his service over 40 years in the Naval Air Reserves ultimately retiring as a Master Chief. He will be missed by his children, John (Gae), Kay (Matt) and Tom (D) and grandchildren Kyle, Ashley (Greg), Kaitlyn, and Joshua and great grandchild Carson. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Virginia and daughter Mary Storer (Anderberg) and sisters Lorraine Cromwell and Betty Myers. Visitation: Sunday, April 15, 1-4p.m. at Nicoletti, Culjis, & Herberger Funeral Home, East Sacramento. Service: Holy Spirit Church 3159 Land Park Drive at 11:00 am on Monday April 16th. He will be privately interned in Hayward California.
