WAKEFIELD, Joshua Lee
Born Nov. 21, 1977, passed into heaven Jan. 6, 2007 at the age of 29. He leaves behind to honor his memory; parents, Terry and Larry Wakefield; grandparents, William and Joan Strawn and Catherine Kramer; Aunts and Uncles: Allen and Carrie, William, Patricia, Glen and Daphne and Cindy. He is also survived by cousins: Megan, William, Erin, Tabitha, Phoenix, Matthew, Chandra and Thea, as well as many loving friends. Family and friends are welcome to visitation from 4 until 8:00 P.M. on Fri., Jan. 12, 2007 at the funeral home, and attend services at 8 P.M. the same evening. Arrangements under direction of LIND BROTHERS MORTUARY in Carmichael, (916) 482-8080.

Hi sweetheart another year without you, can't believe how long you've been gone, still miss you with all my heart, everyone is doing ok, Megan and Isla are doing good Isla is so big she's growing like a weed,
she's 8 already, William got married a couple years ago and they just had a baby girl Mia she was born early but is doing well,
shes so tiny...grandma is in rehab she was in the hospital she'll be there a month...we're all getting old and sore lol, got a new kitty little over a year ago, he's all black and his name is loki he's a sweet pea most of the time lol...well sweetheart I hope this goes thru since the last one didn't...love and miss you mom

Hey sweetheart I love and miss you so very much! I hate this day! We use to celebrate Three Kings day, but now its just the day my heart was broken I can't believe you've been gone 14 yrs...it seems like just yesterday we were laughing and having a great time...I miss you helping me in the kitchen you were such a great cook, you would've made such a great Chef, I just don't enjoy cooking anymore, you know your dad he just didn't like alot of different things, but you loved trying different things along with me...we were so much alike...I miss those times in the kitchen together...Well sweetheart I love and miss you with my whole heart love Mom.

Hey baby I miss you so much! As you probably know since you see everything from heaven I haven't been well I got cellulitis and its taking a while to heal, I'm at grandma and Uncle Jims wife Sandy is here taking care of my leg after I got out of the hospital...she's a god sent but since Jim is with you and pap you already know that..she misses Jim so much...your dad misses you so much, he gets depressed alot, Carrie and everyone is doing ok, Megan's isla is getting so big, she's such a beautiful little girl I can't believe she's 4 already, I just love that little girl so much, she would love her cousin Josh, she loves William and erin so much...well sweetheart I'll talk to you later love you with all my heart ❤ Mom❤

Happy birthday sweetheart! I'm missing you so much.. 41 wow!!! Wishing you were here... all my friends on Facebook wish you a happy birthday in Heaven! I'm bringing you with me tomorrow to grandmas for Thanksgiving I thought it would be nice since I haven't taken you over in a while..
Everyone here is doing fine...I have a couple medical issues I need to get checked out, I'm praying one isn't cancer...its bad enought I have a heart and breathing problem! I don't need anymore on my plate...we're finally getting some rain here, which is great cause we've been having really bad fires, the town of paradise has been almost completely burned down its really sad..did I ever tell we about zippy hes a kitty we found about a year ago! Hes a handful..but a cutie..someone must think we need a new kitten every year cause your dad was able to catch this little grey guy yesterday whos been coming around when he feeds the ones outside..we've named him Smokey, hes been hiding most of the time, but he'll come eventually...zippy plays with him..paula Quinett will be down here from Southern California for thanksgiving so we'll get to visit for a bit, its been years since we've seen each other, Darrell lives in Cirtus Heights for a little while longer, then him and his wife and her son will be moving to the foothills, its been nice seeing them again...Megan just moved into a new place, haven't been there yet, you should see how big isla has gotten, she's such a beautiful little girl I love her so much...I wish you and pap could've met her..shes still a little scared of larry..everyone is doing well...erin is going to American river college, plus she works at Home depot, and william is still working at starwest as is megan and her boyfriend Angel...well sweetheart its getting late so I think I'll close for now, love and miss you always my beautiful son...love you mom ❤❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤

Hey sweetheart I posted something on Christmas eve but it didn't go through,hopefully this one will, well Christmas was nice had some good food as always, we did dinner at carries ,cause grandma went to bills house. Your dad went to see the new star wars movie and loved it. Hey Sweetheart its your Birthday! Wow 38! I'll remember this day for the rest of my life. It was the best day ever, it kills me that I can't hold you and give you a great big hug, I posted a few pictures of you on FB your got alot of birthday wishes from everyone, spend the day at carries while your dad and william went to bill faws and did some work around his house, everyone here is doing ok, williams got a job working at the same place that megan works he really likes it and having a pay check, hes alot like you with the video games and other things, so he had to get a job so he could buy his toys...megan moved across from Carmichael park its a nice place, your dad got hearing aids so now he can hear! I'm doing ok ive lost some weight, still got alot more to go,but as long as I don't put it back on I'm doing ok, well sweetpea I'm going to say by for now, I miss and love you always mom ❤❤❤❤❤ HAPPY BIRTHDAY. ..

Hey sweetheart its mom, were all doing well, grandmas birthday is tomorrow, so were having dinner over there, we all took her to thunder valley casino for a day of gambling, we had fun! Megans boyfriend dave did pretty good, so did allen not do sure about carrie, megan did ok I think, and I brought everything I took plus thirteen extra dollars home! So not too bad, we went a couple weeks ago with just megan and Dave and lost everything had, I sure miss you sweetie, I just wish we could have done all this stuff with you, it wasn't fair losing you, you were all I had, but I am so grateful for the time I did have with you its what keeps me going, carrie found some pictures of you in your school play called school daze you looked great, I also have one of you down by the river sitting on a rock you must have been in your early twentys? There's alot more, I'm sure glad carrie found them, megan had made a throw with like six pictures of you on it for dad and me for Christmas its really nice, that girl thinks of some nice things. well sweetpea I going to say bye for now, I love and miss you with all my heart. ..love forever and forever mom?????????

Hey babe I'm sure you already know your dad had a heart attack and had a qurdrouable by-pass on tuesday he came thru real well and vitals are real good and getting better, he did however have a small stroke and his left side is alittle weak! DR saids he should make a 100% recovery, so I'm praying he's right...It looks like he'll be in hosp. for x-mas so thats where I'll be also. baby I wish you were here with me now but since you can't just make sure you keep your dad safe and away from the white light...I couldn't bear it without both of you...well sweetie I love and miss you always....love mom xoxoxoxooxoxoxooxoxoxxo

hey sweetie it's thanksgiving again.. and the clan went to grandma's,carrie made the turkey & stuffing and I did a 18 lb whole ham, and made a ooey gooey butter cake you would love it, grandma made a lot of pies and megan did some brocoli and green beans and there were potatoes mashed and sweet everything was real good, would've been better with you and pap here with us...your dad had a dr appt. the other day and they tested his lungs out and he passed with flying colors, so it looks like he'll never slow down I'll die from all the smoke before he does, lol well sweetie I'm going to say night for now want to go to paps page and say hey, so I love and miss you so much...love mom xoxoxoxo

Happy Birthday Joshua!!! Wow "36" I really wish you and pap were here with us, I miss you so much...Well next week is thanksgiving I'll be bring a whole ham you would love it, I so wish you and pap were here for our family gatherings it's just not the same, by now you would've become a chef and you could have done some of the cooking...lol and saved your old mom from doing it... carrie's doing the turkey, I think I'm going to bring some cauliflower and brocoli with a cheese sauce also cause megan and your dad aren't eating taters now, well your dad has but very little and megan cause of her diet. boy has she lost the weight, she looks good. there's alot of good movies out lately that you would have loved, the hobbit, 1&2 Ironman 1 thru 3 and a new superman and spiderman, star treks, & a new transformers are coming out next yr, like I said alot I just wish you were here to see all of them...anyway sweet pea I'm going to say bye for now and Happy Birthday again I love and miss you always and forever... mom...xoxo

Hey Happy Birthday my sweet boy...wow 36!!!I so wish you were here with us,I miss you so so much,next wk will be thanksgiving and I'm bring a whole ham, we'll have ham left over forever..lol It's family gathings like these that are the hardest cause I so wish you and pap were here to enjoy them with us, bill will be up for turkey day and grandma will be going down to his house for xmas, and it looks like I'll be staying over there to watch her house...There's alot of new movies you would have loved, like Ironman #1 #2&3 and the hobbit 1&2 and the second part comes out in dec just like all of the lord of the rings did...Remember when we use to get them for larry and you for xmas every year they came out! those were good times even if you would fall asleep everytime..lol good thing you got us the dvds or else you might not have seen the whole movie...larry and william went and seen Thor a couple weeks ago, they really liked it, I'll have to wait til it comes out on dvd, they made a new superman which comes out on dvd pretty soon...well sweetheart I'm going to say bye for now,again Happy Birthday I love and miss you always mom...xoxox

hey sweet heart, sorry it's been so long i have no excuse...well as you know your dad and I have had our birthday's can you believe he turned 60! I had a bbq for him and invited glen and dapphane, cindy and jeremy and the kids thea and scott & chandra carrie and her clan plus a friend of erins, megan and i make most of the food the night before at her place I stayed the night it was nice hanging with her and wally...cathy and megans boyfriend dave were there also,larry enjoyed it, had a ton of food and jello shots you would have loved it, I really miss not having you and pap with us...and for my b-day your dad finally got the internet turned back on plus we got basic cable, that way while I'm online he can watch whatever that way he doesn't whine too much when I'm on...lol well today was halloween and we went to grandmas as always your dad went to a little party at the place cathy lives now, which is right down the street from grandmas where you got your drug test for work...anyway carrie and her clan came over and erin and william went out trick or treating, I know their kinda old but there were alot of older kids out tonight..william had a ton of candy when he got back...all in all it was a nice night...I can't believe your birthday is coming up. I really miss you so much sweet pea, well sweety I'm going to say goodnight I think I'll go to paps and say hey to him.. I love and miss you always my sweet son...love mom

Hi sweet pea! Just a few lines to let you know whats been going on..well the weather is in the 100s today it suppose to get 108,way too hot for me and larry. our garden is doing good way better than last yr, we've lost a couple things like some marigolds the earwigs pretty much ate them, better them then my veggies,and a pineapple sage which i really wanted, don't know why it died, the stems are still green so going to see if i can save it! because your dad couldn't find another one at walmart..our tomatoes are doing good and we have way more now then we got all last summer, I planted alot of them from seeds grandma got me so besides the tomatoes we bought at the store I grew about 10 from seed, hoping to make some salsa with them and my jalapenos...well your dad is taking grandma to travis to get some of her meds today,well sweetie thats all the news from here,I love and miss you so much...love mom xoxoxo

"HAPPY EASTER" Sweetheart, wishing you were here at grandmas with us all...carrie and them are still at home and megan is taking grandma to get her BP meds before they all get here,the weather here is nice in the 70s, we have some thrunder storms last night and early this morning, we needed the rain I planted some sugar peas and they need cool weather, I'm getting some peas now I hope we get enought to make a couple good dinners. planted cukes seeds and some basil, and green beans hoping to get a head start on the summer veggies..allen is going to till up some of the front yard so we can put in some peppers,tomatoes and some squash, we have alot of strawberris coming in they were the only plant last summer that gave us fruit all summer and the one we had made alot of babies grow from it so we have alot more now... well sweet pea I'm going to go, just wanted to say I love and miss you so much...love you always mom oxoxox

Happy valentines day sweetheart wish you were here with me..I'm here at grandmas shes sick and had to go to the ER yesterday megan took her and now im here making sure she takes her meds and eats she had a fevewr of a 103 and didn't call anyone, it was a good thing megan brought her some dinner or else we would never know how sick she was... it looks like a virus..shes doing alittle better now but i might stay another day or so your dads not too happy but understands. well the weather has been pretty nice in the 70s today.. well I'm really missing you wishing I could give you a big hug and a bunch of kisses...again happy valentine day sweet pea..love you mom

Hi sweet pea just a quick note while I was at carries where I can get online, well the weather here is down right freezing! it's been in the 20s in the morning now for almost a wk now... alot of the plants are dying, and of course the house is freezing, as you remember..I'm hoping it warms up real soon, I'm getting to old this kind of weather..lol had a water main break in front of gils house and it flooded our yard which in turn filled the septic tank up causing the toilet to overflow and at the same time your dad was doing some cloths, what a mess, the water company pumped the tank and cleaned out the lines which was good, then the next day we were at megans and when we left the truck had a flat tire..I hate this month it's been a bad month since we lost you! well sweet heart I'm going to say bye for now I love and miss you always....xoxoxoxoxoxomom

Hi sweetheart~ It's mom I can't believe another yr has gone by without you! Six long yrs..It seems like forever, It's not getting any easier, I miss you so so much it's unreal,I don't know how I go on it's really hard at time's I miss us talking, and having coffee... On a happy note tabby had her baby boy on new years eve, his name is gavin victor dubray, I'm hoping he's what she needs to get her life in order so they can have a good life. Merry Christmas sweet pea another year without my baby, were here at moms your dad just took cathy home boy am I stuffed..megan just got here also and so we went and opened the gifts, grandma got me a food processor and 40 dollars, and a marble salt container, she got it from where megan works now. she works at a place that sells spices and oils for cooking and aroma therapy,she can get spice for a real good price which is nice there real good spices too...bill got us a gift card from walmart which is good cause were just about out of money til the first... carrie and allen got us a 17 lb ham so we'll have ham for a while after we cook it...your dad got me some chocolates and a card...megan gave me some spices and a mortar and pestle..thats about it I think...well sweeetie I really miss you and wish you were here with us...I gotta go and write on paps page so I'll say bye for now I'll talk to you soon sweetheart... love and miss you always love mom xoxoxox

hey sweetpea "Happy Halloween" Were here at grandmas...carrie and allen well be here after a while...william broke his ankle about 2 wks ago had to have screws and plates to fix it..other than that everyone is doing ok! been having alot of bad weather along the east coast so far no friends or family have been hurt, just lights going out...we've had some rain but mostly sunny still, suppose to get some rain tonight..hopefully after the trick or treaters have come by...megan came over a couple wkends ago and helped clean out the dining room and your room and the kitchen the house is looking good she even put up my pot rack pap got me for xmas...I've gotten quite a few dishes done, I got a hutch from grandma so I now have some room to put alot of my cookware grandma got carrie and I over the last yr or so from QVC...well Josh I wish you were here with us I really miss you like crazy...Happy halloween again love you mom...xoxoxox

Happy 4th of July josh!!!!!were here at grandmas for a BarBQ...I made some macaroni salad and salsa verda...carries bringing ribs and banana bread..grandma made potatoe salad and beans..tabby gave us a frozen lenomade pie with raspberrie and blueberry on top it looks good...guess what tabby got married and is having a baby also did you ever think that would happen!!!!!! Good morning sweet pea, well it's mother's Day and I'm sure missing the one person I wish were here,without you I really don't feel like a mom anymore, but I'm glad I got to be your mom for at least 29 yrs, it was just too short of time I miss you so much baby I don't think it will every stop..but I keep going for your dad. Well sweet pea it's christmas were here at grandmas carries makeing the turkey and I'm doing the taters and vegs... grandmas went down to bills this yr. shes been there for about a wk now. your dad went and picked up kathy and brought her here to spend xmas with us it's nice for her to get out and visit with everyone...sure wish you and pap were here with us..we got everyone gift cards for the olive garden and $20 cash for erin, will, and will girlfriend jennifer..and a kolh's card for megan and kathy and a starbucks card for megans boyfriend ryan...your dad saids hes going to get the internet for me in jan...I hope so...I miss not having it can you believe that! Hey sweetpea It's the fourth of July and were all over here at grandmas, we also had a birthday party for william can you believe he's 15 yrs old now and he even has a girlfriend named jennifer. Hi sweetheart I can't believe 4 yrs have already gone by since I lost the best son in the world, not a day go by I don't think of you and miss so much, my world hasn't been the same..I still can't believe your not here with us, so many thing remind me of you everyday and there are so many things I wish you could be a part of like seeing movies I know you would have loved, your dad and I watch them and talk about how you would have enjoyed the hell out of them especially the transformer movies..there coming out with thor, green hornet,and so many of the DC comics you use to read, you would have loved the Ironman ones too..But I'm sure your up there with pap and vivian watching them before we even see them..I'm here at grandmas I stayed the night cause your dad went to kathys to take her to a Drs. appt and talk to someone from meals on wheels for kathy she just can't take care of herself anymore without some help..she doesn't want to use her walker or wear her life alert so she's fallen a few times over the last month, so your dad has taken charge of everything..well sweetheart I love you with my whole heart always and forever and miss you like crazy love forever mom xoxoxox

Merry Christmas my sweet pea sure wish you and pap were here with us..were all here at grandmas and no war has broke out yet..lol I got some cookware from grandma,a gift card from bill and pheonix,megan gave us some cash which will help out..plus we got a refund from cal-vet for money that was left in our escrow acct. after we paid the house off now our elec, gas ,etc won't be turned off..which is nice..I have a friend on facebook that did ornaments for people that have loved ones in heaven it's a photo of a ornament with there picture on it she did three of them of you and one of pugsley, and carrie had her do one of allens dad, pap and vivian she made a web site called christmas in heaven it was real nice...well the weather here sucks it's been raining for the couple wks..I'll be glad when it stops. well sweetheart Ithink I''ll close for now I need to go to paps site and wish him a merry christmas,I sure miss you and wish you were here with us love always and forever MOM xoxoxox

Happy Birthday Josh,33 yrs old I sure wish you were here my sweet son..Josh this was the best day of my life, How I miss holding you and just talking, Hey theres going to be a blue moon tonight I thought I'd order one for your big day..LOL Were going to megans for dinner and Im getting a cake for you..were going to be meeting megans new boyfriend his name is andrew..It looks like megans going to have to move in with grandma, Her roommate is moving out and she doesn't want another roommates and this way she can save her money..Your dad and cindy went up to colfax to check on cathy she hasn't answered her phone so there a little worried since she's been falling down alot,they want to bring her down here so they can keep a better eye on her but shes being difficult about it she doesn't even want to have someone stay with her,shes so hard headed.. Happy Halloween sweet heart..was over at grandmas earlier megan came over as did carrie allen and erin, william went out with some of his friends..megan wanted to learn how to make gabbage rolls so grandma got all the stuff she needed, and her and carrie rolled them up they were pretty good there were turkey ones and beef ones. I made a apple and blueberries crisp but it didn't turn out all that good oh well..you should see grandma and megan little doggies they both dress them up in sweaters they look cute. well your dads been working quite a bit lately but as you know winter isn't a good time for him, at least we won't have one bill to pay after nov. cause sweet pea once we send $480 to cal-vet we will have paid off the house...can you believe it!!!! hey sweet pea, sorry it's been a while, well today is my birthady can you believe I'm going to be 50 I always thought you'd be here with me when I got old...LOL I feel like a 100..but I do miss not having you and pap here, with carrie and I. Grandma and allen are on there way home from billy, grandma went down there last weekend to get a dog billy found for her it was at his vets someone had drop her off and the vet was going to fix her and get her up to date on all her shots for free,she asked bill if he wanted her cause shes just like his dogs, but he decided to ask grandma if she wanted her cause she'd been talking about getting one. her name is honey. Will be going to carries later on maybe take lunch or something since nobody is there with her on her B-Day, the kids are over at megans cause she had a BarBQ last night and stay there. Hey sweetheart,just wanted to catch you up, lets see we went camping about a wk ago.can you believe it's been 22 yrs since I went camping! It was when we went to canada that was a good trip..remember all the crabs we caught, and your dad couldn't catch a single fish...this last trip was ok we went with carrie and her gang so there was alot of yelling, but still had a pretty good time went floating in the water,and took a little hike with megan and walter,He's such a sweet pea..we went to gerle creek so you know whats up there..well grandmas in W.Va still she's been there since july 28th she took the train.she should be home sometime in sept. Megan lost her job about a wk ago, she thought for sure she'd keep it cause she's gotten 3 bonus since she was hired and that hasn't been thatlong ago.at least she can still get unemployment. your dads finally getting work, enought to get some of the bills paid down..at least we only have around 1 or 1 1/2 payments on the house before it's paid for, Can you believe it!always thought we'd be giving it to you one day, don't know what we'll do now. oh well...well sweet pea I'm going to say bye for now as always I love and miss you everyday..MoM xoxoxox

Hey sweetheart, It a day late but happy 4th of july, went to grandma's had a nice barb-q and also a birthday cake and things for william, Can you believe he's 14 already! time is sure flying by. How I miss not being able watch you grow into the fine man you were suppose to be. My heart ache's for you everyday. Well your dad gave me a scare today I thought he was coming to see you, he keeps pushing himself working in this heat well he came home for lunch and complain about being dizzie and hot so I go and get him a wet rag for him and when I get back into the living room he's laying on the floor he had passed out, oh sweetie I was so scared I put the rag on his head and tried waking him up I was yelling for him to tell where his phone was and then he started to come around, He's sleeping now but boy was I scared..Well baby I need to go to pap guest book and talk to him for a bit, oh my the way megan got herself a little dog he's cute she got him from the spca he's a toco bell dog his name is walter...he's white with a few tan spots. well sweetheart I love and miss you always talk soon love mom..

I'll still write occasionally but its the early morrning company and in the dreams that I feel the closest to you. Saw Ironman 2 just now. GNARLY!!! It was awesome, but I think they are starting to use way too much over the top CGI and special effects to compensate for plot and character developement. Went with William...it was pretty nice. Hi sweetie, just wanted to get you up to date with whats going on around here. Well your dad finally finished grandma's bathroom were all happy about that you know how granny can get. But she paid our house payment for 3 months so we can put up with her whining.larry & william have been having yard sale's for the last three wks, made enought cash to pay our past due amts. Larry just finished a drywall job, now they want him to paint it also which is good hopefully we'll be able to get our bill paid down soon. Allen's been cleaning out the shed with all thier stuff in it, and he found some tape's of our and one of them was your Graduation tape which I've been looking for,I'm so glad it was found, I watched it today there was some good shots of you I cried like a baby I was so proud of you...It might have taken a extra year but you did it.I love you so much. Hi sweetheart, just wanted to say Hi everyone is doing ok. the weather is nice for now, it's been raining alot lately. and there is a ton of mud around here as you know, it nice to dry out for a day or two. hello joshua it's aunt carrie just thought i'd drop you aline to say hi and let you know that we're all doing pretty good these days the kids are off school this week william spent some time with megan now he's home he's growing tall he is taller than me now and erin is catching up she's almost as tall as me. megan is doing ok had some problems earlier got some of them taken care of but still has a few still to deal with we're hoping everything goes well for her. well i love and miss you and wish you were here. love aunt carrie xoxo

Hey sweetpea, thought I'd just say hi, yesterday was grandmas birthday she turned 75 wish you and pap where there.carrie and allen brought over pizza and cake it was nice.tabby got grandma a nice music box she can put her rings and stuff in. I sent her a e-card, and sent her a email.Carrie set up a yahoo acct. for her a couple wks ago but she hasn't tried to read her mail yet she forgot what to do so we tried yesterday and it figures her computer was messing up so we never got online, I don't know if it's working now or not. hers isn't the only computer messing up our is to I don't know what happen! I feel like screaming it's driving me crazy. Well I gotta go love you so much, miss you. love Mom.

Hey sweetpea, I wrote something eariler but I tried to edit something and everything was erased so here I am again. anyway been thinking about you, thought I'd let you know it's been almost a month since I quit smoking! yea!!! I have a dr.appt. tomarrow megan has one also she goes to the same one me&carrie go to cause she doesn't have insureance anymore. I wish she was your dr. cause I know for sure you'd still be here with me. she wouldn't have let things get as bad as they did. anyway we all went too grandmas house to watch the super bowl, well allen and larry watched the game everyone else sat around and talked. megan was on the computer most of the night. I bet you and pap had good seats up there to watch the game, I bet you wanted the saints to win. Lol~~~ well sweetpea I'll say bye for now,love you miss you. momxoxoxox

Hi sweetpea, I'm writing to you on our new laptop,your dad got it for me xmas, now we don't have to go over to carries or grandmas when we want to talk to you.I don;t know if i'll ever figure it all out megan just im me and I couldn't figure out how to IM her back, she set everything up for us yesterday, so much stuff to keep track of it's going to drive me crazy, but as long as I can talk to you which is all I wanted anytime than it will be worth it.
