June 30, 1948 - February 25, 2024
Sacramento, California - Katherine Ann Galli born on June 30, 1948 to proud parents Robert and Louise Galli, passed away in February 2024 after a short battle with cancer surrounded by her family. She is survived by a large and loving crew who were the center of her life including her sister Roberta and her brother-in-law Bill Kassis; her nieces Kim Griffin, Kristin Kassis (Shullenberger), Kolleen McNamee, Katie Zwiebel and nephew Rob Kassis; her niece in-law Megan Kassis; nephew-in-laws Tom Griffin, Luke Shullenberger, Pete McNamee, and Drew Zwiebel and her great nephews Brien and Matthew Griffin, Jordan and Cole Shullenberger, Jack Zwiebel and Luca Kassis; and great nieces Faith, Miley and Kiera McNamee and Ellie and Jane Zwiebel; and her great niece-in-law Jackie Griffin, who all lovingly called her Aunt Kathy or as her personalized license plate read AntKafe.
Kathy was a dedicated and loving third grade teacher at Cambridge Heights Elementary School in Citrus Heights for 39 years where she imparted a love for reading, writing and arithmetic to thousands of children. Kathy lived her Christian faith serving those in our community who needed housing, a warm hearth and heart. Kathy taught catechism and prepared hundreds of second graders for first Holy Communion. Her strong faith was enhanced by the lives she touched and events that transpired in her 75 years on earth. She leaves behind her family and network of close colleagues and personal friends.
A rosary will be held on Thursday, June 13 at 6:30 p.m. at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Sacramento.
A Celebration of Life mass is slated for Friday, June 14, 2024 at 11 a.m. also at St. Ignatius Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in the name of Kathy Galli to St. Jude's Research Hospital or Shriners Children's Hospital, Sacramento.

I was thinking of Kathy today and looked her up, I'm so sorry to see that she passed away. I'm forever grateful to her for her kindness to me in 1989. Sincere sympathy to Roberta, Bill, Kim, Kristen, Kolleen, Katie, and Rob.
