Kristan Martin Obituary

Kristan Ella Martin

February 8, 1952 - May 23, 2025

Sacramento, California - Kristan Ella Martin passed away at 73 from Alzheimer's on May 23, 2025. My twin, my "Sissy," my other half. Kristan is survived by our brothers Terry (Margie), John (Sande), and David. She was predeceased by our mom Eugenia Rossow, and our sister Erin Seymour. Kristan is also survived by our beloved cousins, BFF Deborah Purrington, many loving nieces and nephews, and me, Karol Martin.

Kristan's favorite season was fall, and she loved October. She loved building fires in her fireplace, and she was very good at it. We loved getting together for dinner and wine, and we'd have a fire and watch a movie. She loved "Little House on the Prairie," and she often watched Hallmark movies, including Christmas romantic stories. We loved to travel to Carmel every October. In December, we'd go to Nevada City for Victorian Christmas with BFF Debbie. Man, could we shop!! Kristan and I loved buying each other presents.

Kristan was a loving mom to Bandit, her funny and often well-behaved golden retriever. And then she loved Roscoe, her terrier who shimmied under her fence from her neighbors' yard, and asked to live with her.

Kristan was a court reporter for some 30 years, and she loved to tell funny stories about things and people in the courtroom.

Farewell, my beautiful, quirky, big-hearted forever twin sister.
