Linda Krumrei-Rauscher Obituary

Linda Krumrei-Rauscher

December 23, 1946 - September 2, 2023

Sacramento, California - Linda A. Krumrei, was born in San Francisco on December 23, 1946, to Marion C. Krumrei and Edward A. Krumrei, Jr. At a young age she moved with her family to Sacramento, but they would continue to visit San Francisco during warm summer days with time spent playing at the ocean's edge with toes in the sand. Linda graduated from Mira Loma High School. Although her work life began with her employment at the School for the Blind in Berkeley, the largest part of her long career in civil service work for the State of California was in Sacramento. Although she and her family started attending the Town and Country Lutheran Church when she was just a child, she would later meet her future husband there and still later she and John Rauscher would be married in this church. She is survived by her husband, John; brothers, Edward, Wayne, and Eric Krumrei; brothers-in-law Gerald and Tim Rauscher; sister Joyce, and sister-in-law Kathy Rauscher; and nephews Brian, Kevin, Taylor, Jordan Krumrei, Matthew Rauscher and Malinda and Jaren Hudson.

For Linda:

Your heart opened to people and animals with equal compassion.

You gave so much but took so little in return.

The simple things in life sustained you.

You were one of the kindest people I knew.

With your passing, you have joined a handful of those who have gone before you that I have truly loved.

Rest in Peace, Linda.
