Lori Gleason Obituary

Lori Michelle Traversi Hamilton Gleason
April 10, 1957 - April 14, 2023
Sacramento, California - Lori Traversi was lost too soon to parents, Richard and Janice Traversi, brothers, David (Kim) and Steven (Dana), son, Will Gleason, Aunts, Audrey (Jack) Hubbard, Nancy (Mike) Whaley, and Sharon (Rick) Jamieson, Uncle Dick (Roberta) and their families, as well as nieces and nephews, Steven and Olivia, Zack and Sophie, and many friends.
Lori lived a life full of both excitement and hardships, and was able to make her own name while still leaning on family and friends who were there for her no matter what. She left Sacramento for NYC at the age of 20, and loved the city the moment she arrived. She worked as a photography model and traveled to Italy, France, England, and other European countries for work.
Lori's most prominent quality was her fierce compassion. She was very protective of her younger brothers and her parents as she grew up, and carried that love for her family members throughout her life. She was a rebel, a lover, and a listener and she excelled at each of them with dignity and grace.
She didn't judge people and was accepting of all. She told stories of her adventures, learned more about life than most could imagine, loved with abandon, and formed lasting relationships that will continue to impact those she knew for the rest of their days.

I will alway remember that big smile of yours and I can hear your laughter till this day when we were invited to the Last Waltz premiere and went to the after party at Ginger man in NYC

Robbie Robertson from the band, came over to your table and introduced himself, and you became friends with him, he gave you that hat that he wore throughout the film and you told me some make up artist, kept it and never gave it back, hope you got it back
Best Rock and Roll movie ever
Definitely a classic
RIP my friend

I went to John Kennedy high school with Lori, if this is the same Lori Traversi. I spent many an afternoon sitting at her table. I also knew her father. My name is Thomas Peters.

Dear Jan, Dick, David, Steven and family,
It is difficult to express my grief for your loss of Lori. I remember meeting her for the first time at Auntie Ann and Uncle Larry´s. We became fast friends from that day forward. Whether we were planning our weddings to one of The Beatles, playing with your dog Taffy, or outside exploring, we always had a great time. Lori was one of the most honest, loving, and genuine people I have ever met. She had a heart which could embrace the entire world. She didn´t just possess physical beauty, she had a beautiful soul as well. She touched many peoples lives in a positive manner. Mine was definitely one of them. My fond memories and love for Lori, and your family, will always live in my heart. May you one day find solace in your happy memories of being together.
Love,
Janice Realmuto Waller

Aw Lori... You were a bright light in the lives of so many. From gangly swimmer at SHRC, to world traveling model, you were always down to earth and accepting of all.

Your indignant disapproval of the prudish rules of Paradise Beach, when you returned from Europe, will always be my favorite memory. It makes me laugh and smile, even now.

Thank you for that, and all the other memories...

Hope to see you on the other side.

Iam at a loss for words. My condolences to the entire family. Lori and I knew each other from Pony Express to Kennedy High School. She was my dearest friend. We went thru a lot together. Grew up together. What an amazing person she was. My friend spread your wings now and fly free and I will see you in heaven and love you dearly. Karen Huff Hughes

I´m in shock. I´m so sorry for the families loss. I have seen her posts on Facebook. Her recent surgery. Her dog that she just loved. I know life has been tough at times.
