Having been acquainted with Luanna, I enjoyed listening to her views and being in her company. She will remain in my thoughts and prayers for ever and a day.

Grandma Lu was a spicy woman with a heart as large as the ocean.
Growing up I loved spending weekends with her. We would go grocery shopping, watch wheel of fortune, play the matching game and look forward to the mornings where she would let me have have coffee with sugar. (Or I should say a little coffee with my cup of sugar lol)

We would laugh at comics while she made eggs. I couldn´t wait to go feed the kittens she had in her garage. She was in fact a cat lady. All the kittens and cats loved her. She had the good stuff.
Every year we would go shopping for my birthday. She loved spoiling us.
We lived so close to her house we would walk there in the summers to go swimming, trick or treating, and just to surprise her.
There wasn´t a time we visited grandma that she didn´t wave out the window or her garage as you drove away.
As I got older and moved away I still contacted her. I would call her if I got sick, if I was going through a break up, or just to check in on how she´s doing.
Not many people can say they have a grandma they can tell ANYTHING too. But grandma Lu was so easy to talk too. I mean, anything. I never felt judged by her.
I will miss that laugh, drinking wine, and most importantly those warm hugs where I would just melt into my sweet grandma and her soothing perfume.
I love you grandma. You went too soon and I know Mila would have loved to melt in your arms.
I know you´re waving to us from the beyond.
You will always live in my heart. That is a promise.
I love you!

Luanna and I played Word (Scrabble) on-line together for 8 years. She was an avid player, just about never missing a day, playing 5 to 10 games at once. We would chat about how much she loved her family, celebrated births of Great grand children, and the losses of our loved ones and dear pets. The world changed while we played, becoming a world of Covid and political strife. But we had our scrabble games to look forward to. She loved her cats, and so did I. It was always nice to have her there everyday to talk to. I miss her so much.
Rest In Peace my friend, with lots of love, Mary
