SALAZAR, Luz Gomez
Luz was born April 21, 1920 in Leon Guanajuato, Mexico. Passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 28, 2011, at the age of 91, in the company of her loving husband Rafael at home in Sacramento. Born to Jose Refugio and Dolores Gomez, Luz moved to Sacramento in February 1950, shortly met and married husband Rafael on November 29, 1953. She is survived by her husband Rafael Salazar of 58 years, her 3 loving sons Luis, Rafael and Roberto of Sacramento, her sisters Maria Gomez, Guadalupe Munoz-Ledo, Enedina Vasquez,and brother Jose Gomez, countless nieces, nephews and many friends. Preceded in death by her brother Juventino Gomez (Angelita), sisters Eulalia Nunez, Margarita Perez and Tuburcia Gomez. There is another light in Heaven today, but that light will be missed by all of us. Duermese bien mom. Te quermos, y te vamos ha extranar. Viewing on Friday September 2 from 5-7pm with Rosary from 7-8pm at George L. Klumpp Chapel of Flowers, 2691 Riverside Blvd. Mass on Saturday September 3 at 10am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 711 T St. Burial to follow at St. Mary's.
