My deepest sympathy goes out to Paul & Stroh families. I knew Mark when he attended Howe Avenue School in 1975/1976 and Encina High School 1976/1980. He was very quite and kept to himself most of the time. All the girls thought he was one of the best looking guys in school. He was the only boy in 8th grade that had a beard and hot body. Most of the girls thought he was very good looking & HOT. Today a close friend of mine (Tina Rivas) called to inform me that she just saw Mark Paul’s Obituary in the Sac Bee. We discussed how sad it was that he’s gone. She was thinking about trying to reconnect with him through the Encina High School Website but just didn’t get around to it yet. I will pass this information onto the Encina High School WebMaster so that Mark’s Obituary will be posted there.

I want to extend my heartfelt condolences to Mark's family and Dion. I worked with Mark at SMUD back in the early 90's. Mark was the Union representative for meter reading. I will never forget how Mark stood up and represented me when I wasn't a union member. I was just a greenhorn in meter reading and didn't know what rights I had. His soft demeanor and understanding meant a lot to me. Mark truly rooted for the underdog!! Even after I left SMUD, Mark & I kept in touch until he moved. I will always have fond memories of Mark. One memory I will never forget is Mark's boyish grin when he spoke fondly of Dion.
Thank you Mark for being there for me!!! May you rest in peace!!

We were so sad to hear of Mark's passing. Even though we do not understand why, we know that someday the broken chain will be back together again. We never had the opporunity of meeting Mark, but know just being a Stewart,we know we would have been blessed to have known him.

Our thoughts and love go out to all the family and pray God's peace be yours and give you the strength during this time. May God bless each member of Mark's family.
