VIVALDI, MARTHA
Born in San Francisco, CA on July 7, 1912. Peacefully passed away on November 20, 2002, surrounded by her family. Preceded in death by her adoring husband of 45 years, Garry. Survived by two sons, Garry (Topper) and Stanley Vivaldi. Martha was a proud and devoted grandmother (Nonni) to Greg, Steve, John, Mike, and Brian Vivaldi; and great-grandmother to Ali, Natalie, Sophia, Genna, Christina, Colleen, and Conner Vivaldi. Favorite aunt to Phyllis Nagel, Dennis O'Connell, Dr. Richard O'Day and Thomasina Sommerville. Martha lived in Sacramento over 50 years, where she was an outstanding homemaker and community supporter. Martha served on many auxiliary boards, was past President of Mercy Hospital Guild and Sacramento Junior Museum, where she donated thousands of volunteer hours. Martha had a flair for gourmet cooking and entertaining. She and Garry were world travelers, and especially loved Italy. Martha will be remembered by family and friends for her sparkling personality, positive outlook, and kindness. Everyone loved to be around Martha. She will be missed but not forgotten. Martha will be laid to rest beside her husband, Garry at EAST LAWN MEMORIAL PARK. There will be a private family service. In lieu of remembrances please say a prayer for Martha. Never met the woman but dealt with the Son; Topper and husband Gerry. You know that person from those around her. I remember the years of driving by VIVALDI PONTIAC at 16th and K st. then having an enjoyable time in my association with husband and son. So seeing the name brings back pleasant memories.
