I work at Atria El Camino Gardens where Bud spend his remaining years. I will never forget him, for he was such a gentle, polite, and kind man. My fondest memory of him was sitting with him while he waited for happy hour. He told me of living in Florida and how he would frequently travel to Cuba. I will never forget him and truly feel special to have known him the time that I did.

I called Bingo and Bud sat next to me every time so he could hear the numbers clear and I will never forget him asking me what game we were on every time and I will never forget the care he had for the people around him. His stories are inspiring and a man of pure good. Bud, let all the people in heaven know how amazing Cuba was when you were in the navy and thank you for being my first friend at Atria.

Bud Sperry was our next door neighbor when we lived on Gwen Drive in the "flat tops" during the 1950s. I remember him well. He was a nice guy and a good neighbor, a hard worker. I recall he had terrible allergies (hay fever). Yet he was often outside with a hankie or bandana over his face doing yard work, keeping his house and yard up. And he let his girls have a wiener dog named Hafta, despite his allergies. He was also in a pleasant mood most of the time, very nice demeanor. Good family man. I know he will be missed by Debbie and Lynne.
