In the early morning hours of August 4, 2014, Matty passed away suddenly from a heart attack at his home in Driggs, ID.
Matty was born in Sacramento, California on April 3, 1969. He was the third and youngest child of Bill and Sandi Lake.
Matty was a chef by trade cooking from the North Shore of Oahu to the Slopes of the Grand Tetons. He lived life to the fullest and cooking was his way of showing his love to his family and friends. Those who knew him also knew that he was also a diehard Jägermeister and Chargers fan.
Matty was preceded in death by his father, William "Bill" R. Lake, Jr. and his wife, Kari Mallon-Lake. Matty is survived by his young children Fletcher Makai Lake and Malia Lu Michele Lake; Mother, Sandi Lake; Brother Tom & Pam Lake and Sister Jean & Randy Wright; Nephews Noah Lake, Chris Wright and Shaun Wright and Nieces Julia Lake and Jessica Smithline.
