We all miss you Mathew! I can't wrap my brain around the fact that it's been 16 years since we last got to talk. I wish you were here to meet my girls, I know they would have loved their "Uncle Matt". You will never be forgotten

Over a decade has passed since we lost Matt. He was the most intelligent and unique person I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. He was my best friend, a worthy rival, and a brother in arms. I miss you more with every passing day. Rest easy my brother

Mathew was my son. He was extraordinary and a blessing. Matt never ceased to amaze, educate and entertain. The loss will hurt forever.

You, his friends have been a great source of comfort, strength and information about him. I love hearing your stories about Matt and seeing the evidence that you visit his grave-site. (To know he's not forgotten.) I Thank You. Matt chose quality friends, I'm honored to meet you and blessed to call some of you friends as well. You bring life. (I've moved, phone #'s are the same.)

Congratulations Graduates! I was thrilled to have watched YOU walk, and am proud of the classes of 2006 and 2005. Matt would be proud. It's exciting--and RIGHT--that you are moving on, living your lives! When you think of Matt, his family would be most grateful for entries here--a quick line of memory, story, photo or poem to share.

Matt was my friend for over 2 years. He was in my class and he was a good friend. He was a wonderful person to everyone who knew him and I miss him and think about him everyday. I loved him very much, and I miss him still. Everyone who knew him loved him, and my thoughts and prayers are with you, his parents, and everyone else who I know shed tears over him.

Linda and Kelly,

I am a friend of your parents, Linda. Ruth was my girls' pre-school teacher in Orangevale and she and Jim were in our Amway group for years. They also live across the street from where my husband's mother lived for several years.

I only met Mathew twice; your parents brought him out to our farm in Loomis and he loved the animals. He was a little guy then, but they brought him back several years later and we had a very interesting literary conversation. I asked him my favorite question for young people: what do you like to read. I think his favorite at that time were the Red Fern books.

(May not be the right name....by Brian Somebody, animals in medieval times, you know what I mean.)

My heart breaks for you both, and please know that we are thinking and praying for you and your whole family. God bless you all.

mathew is the person i loved the most. when he was born, his baby hair in a natural mohawk, i knew we were going to get along just fine. at every age he was a delight to be with.

i learned alot from mathew. starting with holding him while he had colic; i learned you can't always make things better for someone, but you can make sure they don't go through it alone. right through his last days when my counselor suggested i "take notes" on how mathew was aware and alive in every moment of his life. and did so being exactly who and how he wanted to be.

i will miss my best nephew with all my heart, and i will trasure our time together even more. i love you mathew, always and forever...no matter what.
