We regret to announce the death of Michael A. Bautista. Within his brief time with us, Michael accomplished numerous goals he established for himself. He demonstrated a commitment to his community by serving as a deputy sheriff for the Yolo County Sheriffs Department and as a volunteer for the "Festival de la Familia" planning committee. Michael was a loyal son, brother, grandson, uncle, nino, cousin, nephew and friend. Most would describe him as the "Life of the Party" for any function. Those who knew Michael are sure to never forget his infectious personality and smile. Michael leaves behind many people who loved him and who he loved dearly. Some of these people include his parents, Angel & Maria Elena Bautista, his sister, brother-in-law and niece, Alfonso, Roxanna B & Analise Villasenor, his grandparents, Jesus & Lupe Rodriguez & Esperanza Bautista, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, godchildren, nephews, nieces and a large circle of friends. We will miss him dearly. The family invites relatives and friends to visitation beginning at 5 PM on Monday, May 3rd with a Rosary at 6 PM at Sacramento Memorial Lawn, 6100 Stockton Blvd. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, May 4th - 10 AM at St. Rose Church, 5961 Franklin Blvd., followed by a burial ceremony at St. Marys' Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the care of SACRAMENTO MEMORIAL LAWN.

One more second of every minute another day goes by. In my dreams we laugh and we talk and try to make the hours last. But time goes so fast! A part of my heart, my life and my soul went with you. I never imagined that my miracle baby would leave me after just 28 short years! I sit here alone and cry at night hiding my feelings from everyone. I feel empty. I reach deep inside and I feel like you're still here living in me and giving me strength to carry on. Where are you now, Mijito? Your leaving left a heartache no one can ever heal. In May of 1994 my brother Philip Posas passed away in a car accident. Philip and Michael were good friends when we all attended St. Patrick's. When I read about his passing my heart went out to you and your family. May you always know that your not alone in your pain and loss. Michael was a good hearted person and had such a beautiful smile. May he now rest in peace and reunite with his friend, Philip.

The other day I was reflecting on a day when we were kids living on Winnette Way. We were sitting on the steps of your mom and dads house. You, me, Roxanne, Hector, Mario, Hondo, and Jenea agreed to buy a house on the same street. Just like our fathers' did when we were kids. Maybe one day we can all sit together again and reflect back on our lives. Till then, wait for me and rest in peace. You will never be forgotten.

Mike was a charming, intelligent, loyal, ambitious and steadfast friend to me during a period of time when many were not. He was a witty and fun friend who found pure joy and excitement for his plans and ideas for the next stage of his life. When I reflect back on high school (especially senior prom), the smile that appears is from the many memories I have of the laughter we shared and his friendship during that time.

Archangel Michael, Patron Saint of Law Enforcement Officers, you have called into service Michael Angel Bautista, from the Yolo County Sheriff's Department. He was a man of respect and loved very much.
Mike will make one of your finest recruits, he was a very special man with a warm heart and caring soul.
April 29th, 2004, Mike was called to join you and serve the Lords right hand. His dark uniform bears the gold Deputy's star on his chest. Now added are silver wings and a Golden Halo around his head.
His new assignment is to watch over and protect his Family, Friends and brothers and sisters in law enforcement. Mike will be most eager to give them guidance whenever he can.
Yes, on that day Mike was promoted to "Guardian Angel" to watch over and guide us in his own special way.
Even though we all miss him dearly and the loss is great and painful: Mike is never really too far away. For you see his is forever held near by the memories we hold of him in hour hearts.

I remember my daughter Lisa telling me what a good friend Mike was to her in high school.
He came to our house a few times--he was so positive and encouraging to all of us. She often shared how much fun her prom was because Mike was her
date!

Just as we have been getting notices about our ten year high school reunion, something like this happens. I had received bad news from something in my professional life today that brought me down, but these things are trivial. I knew Mike from baseball and school, but I had been waiting to get back into contact with people at the reunion. It looks like things don't always work out they way you plan them. I guess the only thing we can do is enjoy the time we have now and cherish the moments that we had.

I will miss how he would come into the office, sit down in the Sergeants chair and always start off our conversation with "hey Mrs.Alvarez".
