Santa Rosa, California - Michael Stuart Macaulay, passed away in Santa Rosa, CA in the early morning of August 19, 2021, after a long battle with cancer. He was 70 years old; born to Donald and Marie Macaulay on April 12, 1951, in Sacramento, CA.
Mike was a titan of the used vehicle sales industry in California for the last 45 years. In addition to running a successful dealership, he served for over 30 years on the Independent Automobile Dealers Association of California (IADAC) in various leadership roles. There he passionately promoted ethical practices of the automobile industry and continuous improvement of customer confidence and satisfaction.
Iron Mike, as he was referred to by those close to him, was actively involved in both the Kai 'Opua Canoe Club in Kona, HI and the Lokahi Outrigger Canoe Center of Sonoma County, CA. His enthusiasm for paddling, golfing, hunting, outdoor activities, and having fun is how his family will remember him.
Mike is survived by his daughters Charlotte Radmilovic and Sarah Macaulay; wife Karen Barca; brother Steve Macaulay and sister-in-law Terry Macaulay; niece and nephew Kristen Martin and Scott Macaulay; grand-niece Logan Macaulay; and grand-nephews Benjamin Martin and Bodhi Macaulay.
