Citrus Heights, California - We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Miriam L. Johnsen on February 9, 2023. Miriam, a proud "farm girl" from the Midwest, spent her formative years and adulthood in California, basking in the warm climate and beaches. She cherished the long summer days and strolls around the neighborhood, taking great pleasure in her stunning rose garden that brought joy to passersby. A devout follower of Jesus, she actively served at her church and led Bible studies. With over 85 years of a rich and full life, Miriam left an indelible mark on all those who knew her. Her two sons, Mark and James, daughter-in-law Irene, her sister Diane, and her extended family and friends will miss her deeply. The family will hold a private burial, and in lieu of flowers, you may honor Miriam's memory by donating to Happy Tails, as there was never a hungry cat that she wouldn't feed. May she rest in peace.
