Nathaniel Van Hook Obituary


VAN HOOK, NATHANIEL
Departed this life on Sunday, November 2, 2003 in Sacramento, CA at the age of 69. Nathaniel was one of four children born to Ethel Donaldson and Walter Van Hook on May 6, 1934 in Waco, Texas. He attended Moore High School and was a member of Tolliver Chapel Baptist Church. After moving to Sacramento, he met and married Doris Ann Rodgers, December 6, 1957. After Nate returned home from serving in the United States Army, he and Doris had four children: daughter Brenda, sons Bruce, Anthony (wife Sandy), and David (wife Marian), all of Sacramento. He also leaves to celebrate his home going thirteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren, in-laws Helen and Lewine Freeny, Walter Kemp, Danny and Anna Kemp, and a host of family and friends. Viewing will be from 10:00-11:30 AM on Thursday, November 6, 2003 at Greater Faith Baptist 5230 Ehrhardt Ave, Sacramento; services will follow at 12:00 noon. Interment: St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery & Mausoleum, 6700 21st Ave., Sacramento, CA. Services provided by Thompson Memorial Chapel, Stockton, CA.
