Paul Lucas Obituary

Paul G. Lucas passed away on February 19, 2013 after a long struggle with Parkinson's disease. Paul was born in Missouri and moved with his family to Fair Oaks California in 1956. After graduating from San Juan High School, he served in the US Navy for 4 years. He worked for Aerojet for a few years then worked for the State Department of General Services, until his retirement in 2002. Paul loved sports. He was a life long fan of the St. Louis Cardinals. Paul also liked bowling and fishing. Paul was an avid golfer. He loved to tell his story of the time he hit a hole in 1. He also made golf clubs for friends and family. Paul was known by his family and good friends as Butch, but he did not look like the stereotype of the name. He was small in stature, but had a big heart. He was sensitive, good natured and kind hearted. Butch is survived by his sister Caryn Schulman and nieces, Mishell Gallio and Teresa Silva.

We will miss you Uncle Butch. I have so many memories of Sunday dinners at Grandmas and all the times we thought it was silly that you put Ketchup on your mashed potatoes. I think you liked to make us laugh! You had a sweet, silly nature and will be missed so much.

My Uncle Butch always enjoyed starting silly discussions during our family dinners that somehow turned to lots of laughter and arguments....memories my sister and I will always recall with a smile. Rest in Peace Uncle Butch:)
