Carmichael, California - It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Peter Bollinger on August 31, 2024, in Carmichael, California. He left this world peacefully, enjoying the beauty of the day. Peter's life, marked by professional success and personal fulfillment, will be remembered most for the love he shared and the legacy he leaves behind.

Born to Arzelle and Fred Bollinger, Peter's journey began with the nurturing support of his family. He graduated from Christian Brothers High School in the Class of 1957, demonstrating early on the intelligence and dedication that would come to define his life.

In 1969, Peter founded Inter-Cal Real Estate Firm, a testament to his vision and entrepreneurial spirit. His work not only established him as a respected figure in the real estate community but also as a mentor and leader who inspired many.

Peter was a man of many passions. An avid fly fisherman, hunter, tennis player, and skier, he embraced the great outdoors with enthusiasm. His love for travel took him to the far corners of the earth, where he immersed himself in diverse cultures and experiences. When not on an adventure, Peter could often be found engrossed in a historical non-fiction book, ever the lifelong learner.

Generosity was a cornerstone of Peter's character. His charitable contributions to The Society for the Blind, Christian Brothers High School, Jesuit High School, Crocker Art Museum, and Make-a-Wish Foundation reflect his desire to give back to the community that had given him so much. His support extended beyond financial contributions; he was actively engaged and enthusiastic about making a difference.

Peter's family brought him the greatest joy. He is survived by his wife, Audrey, his children, Paul (Renee), JoAnne Bearden(Greg), Christina (Steve), Jason (Sara), his stepdaughter Sharry Bollinger Felt (John), and ten grandchildren. Peter was predeceased by his first wife, Rosemary and his second wife, Norma. He also leaves behind his brother, Michael Bollinger, with whom he shared a lifelong bond.

Those who knew Peter will remember him as a generous, smart, and visionary individual. His engaging personality made him a cherished friend and confidant to many. Peter's legacy is not only found in his professional achievements but also in the countless lives he touched with his kindness and wisdom.

A private funeral service will be held to honor Peter's life, in accordance with his family's wishes. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to American Heart Association or any of the previously mentioned organizations Peter passionately supported.
