Peter Paul "Paul" Derdowski Jr.

Age 84, died on Wednesday, July 15, 2015. Born June 28, 1931 in Sacramento, California, Paul was always proud that he had lived in Sacramento his entire life. He attended St. Joseph Elementary School, Christian Brothers High School and St. Mary's College. For over 50 years, Paul worked at, and then co-owned with his brother Ted, the family business "Pete's Mobile Home Sales", in North Sacramento. His memory lives on in the hearts of his children Patrick (Jeanne), Pamela (Derek), Paula (Steve), Philene (Stephen), Paige (Kelley), Philip, daughter-in-law Linda, 12 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, his brother Ted and sister Mary Louise, and a large extended family. Paul was preceded in death by his wife (and love of his life) Patricia, and his son Peter. Paul was quite the character; a golfer, a skier in his later years, a bridge player, a caretaker of the yard and the pool, a S.F. Giants fan, a lover of nature and walks, and a dedicated volunteer. He was devoted to his family and friends and was very involved in both Our Lady of Assumption and St. John the Evangelist parishes. We will greatly miss his love, his kindness, his sense of humor, his voice while singing the classics of Frank Sinatra or showtunes, and his distinctive style. We are truly grateful to the loving staff both at Fair Oaks Estates and Elim Ranch for providing Paul with a wonderful home. And to the staff at Elim Ranch, we will forever be grateful for their love and exceptional care in Paul's last months. A service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, August 2, 2015 at Lind Brothers Funeral Home, 4221 Manzanita Avenue, Carmichael, CA. Relatives and friends are welcome to visit and share their memories of Paul after the service. Paul and Patricia will be laid to rest with their son Peter in South Lake Tahoe.
