Renee Toirac Obituary

Renee Toirac
July 2, 1946 - October 2, 2022
Sacramento, California - Renee was born to Carlos and Imelda Toirac on July 2, 1946. She graduated from Bishop Armstrong and CSUS. She worked for the State of California, then went into the US State Department's Foreign Service as an embassy officer, where she worked in D.C., Venezuela and Spain. Family was very important to her, so when her mother became ill, she returned to Sacramento to care for her. Renee then resumed her state career as a manager over a contracts unit. Renee was addicted to the news and world events. She loved fantasy and science fiction books and movies and was also a voracious reader. She enjoyed paper crafting, making special occasion cards for family and friends. She battled leukemia for the past 8 months and succumbed on October 2, 2022. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother Dennis. She leaves behind her brother Ronnie, her niece Keira (Curtis), her great nieces Audrey and Lily, many cousins, and friends. Her memorial service will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery and Funeral Center, 6509 Fruitridge Road in Sacramento, on October 28, 2022, at 2pm in the Chapel, with a reception immediately following in the dining hall.
