Robert Barr Obituary

Robert "Bob" Barr passed away peacefully with family by his side on January 20, 2019. Bob was born in Sacramento on May 5, 1954 to loving parents, Bill and Althea (Dolly) Barr. Bob led a full life, attending many educational and work programs for the developmentally disabled including Easter Seals, Laurel Ruff School, Orange Grove Adult Day Program and Studio 700 Center for the Arts. He also competed for several years in Special Olympics at CSUS in Sacramento. Bob was a proud participant in the All Aboard Activities Program in Everett, Washington where he enjoyed the friendship of many participants, staff and teachers alike. Bob loved to bowl, and spent several years knocking down the pins with his friends from All Aboard. Despite his challenges, Bob was an enthusiastic performer and dancer who never missed an opportunity to take a bow. Bob spent the last 34 years with his loving sister, Marilyn, whose generous heart and spirit know no bounds. He is survived by his sisters, Marilyn Schwan and Nikki Smith (Jeff), and his brother, Bill Barr. Bob also leaves behind 9 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and by Marilyn's husband, Basil. The family requests any contributions be directed to All Aboard in Bob's name at 2913 W. Marine Dr., Everett, WA 98201.
