(Lt. Col.)
Lt. Col Robert G. Ebert (U.S. Air Force Reserves) passed away peacefully at the age of 97 years old on July 25, 2013 in Cameron Park, CA. Robert was the beloved husband of the (late) Lillie Ebert.
He will be truly missed by his family, step-daughter Patricia Herrera and husband John of Shingle Springs, CA. Grandchildren, Bronte Herrera and wife Caitie, Jonneik and Mitchell Trollope and Great-Granddaughters, Li Li, Harper and Sailor. He also will be missed by many other relatives and friends.
Robert was born in Astoria, Oregon In 1915. He traveled the country with his family due to his father's occupation as a Medical Doctor. Robert graduated from Cranston High School in Rhode Island In 1933 and continued his education in Business at U.C. Berkeley.
Robert had a long and successful career as an Accountant for McClellan Air Force Base, retiring in 1977.
Robert was a advanced mountain climber for many years and was a Chapter member of the Mt. Hood, Oregon, Mazamas, the third oldest mountaineering society in the United States.
A special 'Thank you' goes out to the staff of 'Pine Tree Villa' in Cameron Park for their excellent care and compassion during these last five years and the keen guidance of Dr. Steven Kelly-Reif of Kaiser Permanente.
Robert will be remembered for his razor sharp knowledge of the New York Stock Exchange and his love of the 'Rush Limbaugh and Tom Sullivan radio shows.'
A private Memorial will be celebrated by family and close friends.
