Robert Sutter Obituary


SUTTER, Sr., Dr. Robert
Robert Eugene Sutter Sr., of Lodi, Calif., passed peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family, on Saturday June 3, 2006, from complications of cancer. He was born September 29, 1937, in Sacramento, Calif., to Rudolph and Meta Sutter. He will be forever in the hearts of his loving wife of 46 years, Claudine Sutter, their three children, Robert Sutter Jr. and his wife Deborah, Kirsten Culler and her husband Floyd, and Mark Sutter and his wife Jennifer. Robert is also survived by three grandchildren Hannah, Matthew, and Rachel Sutter. His faith in the Lord, love, and devotion to his family gave him the strength to battle cancer for over six years. Robert was a retired orthodontist who was active with his church and voluntary dentistry. He was a member of the American Association of Orthodontics and passed his love and practice of orthodontics to his oldest son Robert Sutter Jr. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, June 7, at 11:00 AM. at St. Peter Lutheran Church, with Rev. Robert Fickenscher and Rev. James Zimmermann officiating. The committal will be held at 10:00 AM at CHEROKEE MEMORIAL PARK. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to St. Peter Lutheran School, or Hospice of San Joaquin. He will be remembered as a loving man with a gentle smile and warm heart. My deepest sympathies to Claudine and the Sutter family. Bob was a great father-in-law to my sister Jennifer and I will always have fond memories of him, especially from this past Christmas. He is a true blessing to all of us who knew him and will be missed very much.
