Sacramento, California - Ruth Kletzing passed away suddenly after a brief stay in the hospital. She was 97. She is survived by her eldest son, Craig. Ruth participated in a wide range of activities including the Older Women's League (OWL), Elder Hostel, and several other groups. Ruth led a remarkably full life of travel, friends, and political activism. Ruth will be greatly missed by all her friends and relatives.

I am writing as Secretary of the Renaissance Society. Ruth was a member for 30 years. Those who knew her will miss her presence in our seminars and events. She brought to our conversations a wealth of experience gained by travel and her activities with nonprofits and political groups. We hope positive memories of her life will sustain her family and friends though these days of transition. Please accept our condolences and sympathy.
