Stephen Robert Pegos

1936 - 2017

Born November 14, 1936 in Brooklyn, New York, Steve Pegos passed peacefully in his sleep at home, something we could all hope for, on August, 3, 2017 Steve was 80 years young and is now with his recently deceased love of his life, and our mother, Joanne, in Heaven. Steve is survived by his sons, Robert Stephen Pegos, Michael Emery Pegos, David Anthony Pegos, Grandsons Brandon, Dylon, Roman, Tyler and Mason, and Granddaughter Sierra. He was an amazing man, loving husband and awesome father, also quite the character. Steve had a tremendous work ethic and had worked continuously for 68 years in different capacities, including time in the U.S. Army. He loved to travel the world and Rv'ing with our mom, Joanne; collect junk; play softball; eat pizza and hang out at Wenelli's Pizza, his second home, LOL. Steve was very active, and played on senior league softball teams for 30+ years, regularly playing year round on multiple teams, 3 times a week. Friends and family are encouraged to attend a Celebration of Steve's Life at Carmichael Park Veteran's Memorial Hall at 5750 Grant Avenue in Carmichael, on Thursday, August 17th from 11:30-2:30pm, with words at 1:30pm. This reception is open house style, so please come any time during this window, and dress casually.
