Terrence HEDGER Obituary

HEDGER, Terrence Wayne
May 23, 1952 to March 22, 2010
As in everyone's life, the one you love is taken too soon. The plans and dreams that were made can be no more. Terry was the person that lived life. For those that loved him, he was ''honey'', ''Dad'', ''Grandpa'', little brother. For the others that knew him and were priviledged to know him, he was the prankster, a friend, and had the no-nonsense approach to life. He lived for trips, enjoying camping and fishing. The Hedger Annual Camping Fiasco was what legends and stories were made of. The life he shared with his wife of 19 years, Vicky, and his children, Kristine (Dan) Scovull, Johnny (Monique) Crain, Terrence Jr (T.J.) (Stephanie) Hedger, Michelle (Chris) Brogdon, Dwayne (DJ) (Kerry) Crain, and the mighty grandchildren, Aiden Michael, Tracy, Johnny Ray, Burk, Haley, Hunter, Jessica, Sandra and Matthew. He loved and cherished his brother Bobby Hedger and sister, Rebecca Turpening, and his nephews. He was settling toward the golden years with the dreams of travel. Terry served 18 years in the Air Force, retiring in 1992. He worked for many years as a jet engine mechanic, and became a bus driver, hoping to continue working until he wanted to retire. Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Avery and Roselma Hedger. He will be missed by many. You only run across this character once in a lifetime. Rest in peace Terry. We will be together again one day. Family and friends are invited for the Memorial Service, Friday, March 26, 2010 at 7:00 PM at EAST LAWN MORTUARY, 5757 Greenback Lane, Sacramento, CA 95841 (916) 732-2020. Private Interment.

Well, Terry, the annual camping fiasco has passed. You were deeply missed by family and friends. You should know that the lake was full, the fish weren't biting, and the drama continued. I left some of you at the lake this year. Our favorite fishing spot, the one we always checked first. The trip wasn't the same, and I felt the sadness and loneliness of your passing. I love you so much, and miss you even more.
