Born in Sacramento; resident of Placer Co. Predeceased by parents Walter & Helen Blackwood. Survived by his wife of 47 years, Janice Blackwood; son Michael (Connie) Blackwood; daughters Jackie Shepard (Michael), Jo Jo Razor (Rael), Patty Goldberg (John) Sandra Silveira (Rick), and Jennifer Smith (Noel); 7 grandchildren. Services are at noon on May 9th at the Roseville Cemetery on Berry Street.

Sorry to hear about the death of your loved one. It can be a trying time in life,and we at times may feel that noone understands our pain. But please know that God Sympathizes with us when we feel low.The best help we can find is by drawing close to our merciful God and accepting his invitation to 'throw their burden upon him.' So God's word encourages prayer. We can also take the initiative to seek out someone who will be a good listner, an show us patience while we confide in them. At this time please accept the kindness displayed by family, friends, and even strangers.

My husband Frank and I used to be your neighbors on Pitalo Road years ago. Tom was very very helpful (as was all your family)as we were newly married. In an emergency, Tom helped us turned off our water when our pipes froze and broke. I was so happy he was there.

Jacque, Janice and Mike I was so sad to learn of Tom's passing. I am so sorry for your loss. I think of him often. He was a kind generous man who always welcomed me into your home and for any meal at any time without any notice, as did you Janice. Love you guys. I will keep you and your family in my prayers.
