Thomas STAUFFER Obituary

STAUFFER, Thomas L.
Born April 22, 1936 in Boardman, PA and passed away peacefully in his home in Sacramento on December 23, 2010 after a very difficult, but brave battle against lung cancer. Tom met his wife, Connie, while stationed at Mather AFB and they were married March 2, 1956. In latter years, he has cared for her lovingly as she struggles with the effects of Alzheimers disease. He served in the U.S. Air Force, and retired from the Sacramento Army Depot as a computer programmer in 1980. After retirement, he held various sales jobs and has faithfully assisted in his son's business for many years. He is survived by his wife, Connie, and his son, Bruce.
Tom was a compassionate and generous man who knew no strangers. He loved animals, playing golf and sharing a great meal with good friends. A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 14, at 11:00 am at 4413 Vico Way, Sacramento, 95864. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sacramento SPCA, 6201 Florin-Perkins Road, Sacramento, CA 95828.
