Todd Eric Smith

TODD ERIC SMITH, age 47, a long time resident of Sacramento, CA, and 30 year employee of BelAir/Raleys grocery chain went to be with the Lord September 18th. He passed away peacefully in Mercy Hospital. He was in ICU and had just recovered from a severe MRSA bacterial infection but his heart was too weak to sustain life. By his side at the time of death was his father and girlfriend, he had just 2 hours before FaceTimed with 3 of his brothers and sister and had a great visit with his Uncle/Aunt and his favorite cousin. He was in excellent spirits when the end suddenly came. He was preceded in death by his mother Patricia. He is survived by his two loving daughters Haley (12) and Madison (10) of Sacramento; his father Gary (Colorado); his half brothers/sisters Ginger(Oregon), Lisa(MN), Jeffrey(MN), Tara(WY), Blake(CA), Spencer(Germany) and Tyler(Colorado); his favorite Uncle Joey and Aunt Nikki Biven(Jackson, CA); Uncle Richard Aunt Susan Poe(Jackson, CA); cousins John & Sharon Biven(CA), Julie & Jerry Reynoso(CA), Jill & Shane Whyte(MT), Vicki and Paula. He had numerous nieces and nephews and was an extraordinary friend to many as he always strived to help others. He was planning to marry Lythia Carrillo in the near future pending some issues that were being resolved. He loved sports as long as the name was the LA Dodgers and the Dallas Cowboys, played golf and snow boarded. There will be a memorial 'Celebration of Life' event for Todd at Elk Grove Park in Elk Grove, CA from 11am to 6pm Saturday October 11th.
