Verne Buer Obituary
September 9, 1933 - February 28, 2025
Folsom, California - Verne Buer, beloved husband, passed away peacefully, leaving a legacy of love and achievement. Born in Tacoma, Washington, to Andrew and Lillian Buer, he moved to San Francisco in 1938, laying the foundation for a life of passion and purpose.
Verne was a multi-sport varsity athlete at Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory. Graduating in 1951, he forged lifelong friendships that enriched his journey in every way. He proudly served his country in the United States Army with the 2nd Armored Division before earning a degree in business from the University of San Francisco.
He was a loving father to three and cherished his role as a grandfather to seven and great-grandfather to six.
A San Francisco 49ers and Giants fan, Verne was also an avid golfer and member of the local SIRS 49.
Verne will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He left behind a rich tapestry of memories, love, and laughter, and his spirit will live in the hearts of his loved ones.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the American Cancer Society in Verne's honor.

Oh Verne we enjoyed many times together from welcoming us into your home for happy hour and a lot of barbecue events. We also had a great time during our Mexican vacationing with you and Jonna. Living in the Cascades with you as friends and neighbors was so precious to Kent and me. Thank you for your friendship and love over the years. Rest in peace Dear Verne.
