Vincent Campisi Obituary

Vincent Richard Campisi, Sr., 91, of Elk Grove, California, passed away on August 18, 2025. Born in Los Angeles to Jeanette Pellant Campisi and Vincent Campisi, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Elaine Robertson and Jo Anne Fenton.

In 1998, Vincent married Mary, the love of his life. He is lovingly remembered by his children Vincent Jr., Stephani, Jeanette, and Anthony; his children by marriage Sean, Tami, Darren (deceased), and Cherie; as well as his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Vincent proudly served in the U.S. Air Force, completing Officer Training School and becoming a Combat Control Team Leader. He served two tours in Vietnam, earning a Bronze Star for valor. After retiring from Travis AFB as a Major, he continued to inspire young people as a teacher and Head JV Football Coach at Jesuit High School.

Known for his humor, kindness, and adventurous spirit, Vincent touched countless lives. He will be remembered for his love of gardening, fast cars, and most of all, his family.

The family extends their gratitude to UC Davis, Dr. Thomas Smith and Dr. George Hisatomi for their care and compassion. A Celebration of life service to be announced for a future date.

What an amazing teacher and coach! I am just one of thousands of young men that he was able to positively influence over his years at J High. Your legacy will be remembered fondly.
