Auntie Violet - With clarity, I remember my frequent stay-overs with my cousin Kevin, 1960 - 1963 ... at your 1st home off 24th st. Life was happy and highly organized, almost to military precision. Home was spotless, neat, and we always got 3 squares plus dessert. Violet always baked Jello Chocolate Pudding or Lemon pie ... great and yummy ! My mom (Lucy) although a great cook, never really served dinner dessert as a regular item, unless it was a family party.
At Auntie Vi's, I could always count on a slice of pie before BED every night ... something I looked forward to. Remember, this was 1960 before Bel Air or Jumbo had a bakery. So, this is how I remembered "staying at Auntie Vi's". Later in years, Cousin Kevin said that they only got dessert when I came over ... but he could have been joking.
But it was a wonderful memory ...

To my cousins - We will miss Auntie Violet as she was such a vibrant and energetic person and we are so glad to have met her and Uncle Stephen on their visit to Victoria BC years ago.
We have kept in touch and I will miss phoning her. She will be a shining star looking down upon us. With this covid virus we could not travel. Our family sends our deepest condolences and love to all. We will cherish fond memories of Auntie Violet. Virginia Dennis Albert and Beverley Wong

She will be missed! I was one of her caregiver and she is very kind and caring even to the point of always reminding me to be careful and take care also. She even teaches me how to cook Chinese Food. She is like a mother to me as I lost my mothers year ago. I’ll be praying to you Mother. May you Rest In Peace and let perpetual lights shine upon you..condolence to all her children most God Bless to Papa Steve Mr Chan.
