I called William Imus 'Dad". He wasn't my real Dad but he a Christian father figure for me. He taught me the value of following God's leading and of waiting on the Lord when the way is not clear. I loved him and I'll miss him.

God blessed me beyond measure with the perfect father. No, …. no man is perfect, but Dad was the perfect father for me.

Some of my fondest memories of growing up are:
Dad playing basketball with us …he could beat us with his eyes closed and left handed,
Watching Dad till the garden,
Dad watching the 49ers football games,
Dad covered in dirt after a long days work,
Walking to the fern cave,
Dad swimming with goggles and fins in the Yuba River,
Sitting on the porch swing,
Laying in the hammock
Whisker burned cheeks
Dad never working on Sunday…..that was the Lords day
His love for melons, grapes, tomatoes, navy beans, cornbread with buttermilk and chocolate pie.

A few of Dads phrases that we all love and will pass down to the next generation are:
Give you ten minutes...
I'm gonna kiss your face off...
You can for a Yankee dime…

A few things I loved about Dad:
He loved Jesus
He loved Mom
He was a straight shooter, you always knew where you stood with him.
I always knew he loved me.

His dancing eyes and his smile will forever be missed.

See you at the West Gate ...Middle entrance.
