Wyatt J. Zmrzel

1995 - 2017

Wyatt J. Zmrzel, age 22, of Loomis, California Beloved son of William (Bill) Zmrzel of Loomis and Diane Love, of Lincoln was killed in an automobile accident while returning with his uncle, Joe Doub after getting matching tattoos in Sacramento. They were being driven by a Lyft driver and no drugs or alcohol are believed to be involved in the accident. Wyatt was born at home in Lincoln on March 5, 1995. He attended grammar, middle school, and his first two years of high school in Lincoln, transferring to Del Oro High School in Loomis his junior year. He began doing gymnastics in preschool and continued to love and compete in it throughout high school. Following graduation in 2013, he moved to Seattle for college for two years and was competing in gymnastics with the club team at University of Washington. Upon returning from college, he worked as a fire sprinkler installer with his father's company, B Z Plumbing Company, Inc. Throughout it all, Wyatt, suffered from epileptic seizures from the time he was one. At the age of 7, he was diagnosed with Adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD), at which time his parents started searching and fundraising for a cure. Shortly after turning 21, Wyatt became symptomatic of ALD, resulting in atrophy on his right side. Wyatt remained courageous and did not let his disabilities slow him down. He stopped working and started spending more time with family and friends, and spent a great deal of time going on many wonderful hunting trips with his father. He received so much joy from hunting both with a gun and bow. When his right side shut down, he was able to hunt with a bow using his beautiful teeth! He had a contagious smile and raw sense of humor. He loved going out for a filet at his favorite restaurants. In addition to his parents, Bill and Diane, Wyatt is survived by his sister, Sydney Zmrzel, of Glendale, his paternal grandparents, Bob and Diane Zmrzel, of Lincoln, maternal grandmother, Jeannine Graves Neidzielski, of Fair Oaks, and many close aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Corwin (Corky) Graves. A memorial service will be held at Newcastle Gardens, 950 Taylor Road, Newcastle, CA 95658 on Friday, January 5, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. Wyatt knew his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and prayed to God every day.
