Jack Horace Fowler

1944 - 2015

EAST RANDOLPH - Jack Horace Fowler, 71, of Church Street, passed away Saturday (Nov. 28, 2015) at home with his son by his side while under the care of Hospice.

He was born Nov. 9, 1944, in Jamestown, a son of the late Horace R. and Iris M. Sheffield Fowler.

Jack was a 1962 graduate of Randolph Central School and lived in the Randolph area for most of his life. Throughout his career as a gifted tool and die maker, he had been employed by several businesses in the Jamestown area, including Weber-Knapp, Premium Tool and Die, Proto Tool and Jamestown Tool & Metal.

A man of many talents, Jack was an accomplished guitarist and vocalist, and an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and designing and crafting his own arrows and knives. Along with this passion, he was a long-standing member of the National Rifle Association. First and foremost was Jack's love for his family and especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by a son, Justin J. Fowler and wife Amanda of East Randolph; a daughter, Amy L. Fowler of Jacksonville, Fla.; a step-daughter, Wendy J. Graham of Marietta, Ohio; two grandsons, Javin J. and Casshe J.E. Fowler of East Randolph; two brothers, Frank (Vikki) Fowler of Randolph and James (Betty) Fowler of Hamlin; two sisters, Iris (Edward Jr.) Gumienik of Lakeville, Minn. and Kay (Tom) Wade of Randolph; as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Terry Lee Fowler, on Oct. 6, 1997.

He will be greatly missed by his family and his many friends. As per Jack's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral services.
