Keith Weigartz Obituary

HUMPHREY - Keith J. "Tyke" Weigartz, of Davies Road, died Friday (Dec. 12, 2014) at home following an illness.

Born Jan. 3, 1934, in Olean, he was the son of Keith and Thelma Neal Weigartz. In August 1990, he married Diane Davies, who survives.

Mr. Weigartz served in the U. S. Navy from 1952 to 1954 and retired from Signore's in Ellicottville. Tyke enjoyed playing softball, bowling and going to flea markets.

Surviving besides his wife are four daughters, Sandra Weigartz of Florida, Linda Weigartz of New York, Pam (Bill) Riggs of Virginia and Jenny (Shawn) Moore of West Virginia; three sons Tracy Weigartz of New York, Keith (Shawn) Weigartz Jr. of Texas, and Casey (Julie) Swigartz of Pennsylvania; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two stepdaughters, Tina Adams and Iris (Bill) Butler, both of Salamanca; a sister, Sue Ann Dash of Olean; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by two brothers, Gary Weigartz and Charles Greene.

Friends may gather with the family from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday (Dec. 15, 2014) in the Babbitt & Easton Funeral Home, 7 N. Main St., Franklinville, where a celebration of his life will be held at 2 p.m. Interment will be in Mt. Prospect Cemetery, Franklinville.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family 5345 Davies Road, Great Valley, NY 14741. Online condolences may be sent to www.babbitteastonfh.com.
