Anthony Milord Obituary
SALISBURY - Anthony "Tony" James Milord, 67, of Salisbury, passed away Friday, March 30, 2012 at Rowan Regional Medical Center in Salisbury.
He was born July 15, 1944 in Key West, Fla., to the late Louis and Lillian Pent Milord. Tony attended Florida schools and was a truck driver. A veteran of the United States Army, he was of the Baptist faith, loved model trains, fishing, and wood working.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Charlotte Connor Milord on Aug. 13, 1995, and a brother, William Milord.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Elliott Milord, whom he married Sept. 17, 2004; son, Anthony M. Milord of Salisbury; daughter, Rene Connor Allen and husband Mark of Rockwell; stepson, Todd Elliott of Beaufort, S.C.; stepdaughter, Sonya Reuss and husband Donnie of Asheville; brother, Richard Milord of Texas; sister, Diane Griffiths and husband Bill of Limestone, Tenn.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Service: There will be a graveside service on Sunday, April 1, 2012 at 3 p.m., at Dunn's Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery, conducted by Rev. Ray Johnson, pastor of High Rock Community Church. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Rowan County Veterans Honor Guard and the NC National Guard.
Visitation: The family will receive friends following the graveside service.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rowan Hospice and Palliative Care, 720 Grove Street, Salisbury, NC 28144.
