I remember the night so well when I was at the kitchen table at Glenn and Hazel`s home. I was presenting Blue Cross Blue Shield for their group health insurance. At the time they had 16 employees. This was their office at the time.
Doug had warned me ahead of time that they were expecting two brand new tractor trailers and if they came while we were in the interview, they would definitely reconvene after checking out their beautiful trucks and trailers.
Being a young man about 31 years old I asked Doug what in the world was the cost for those two trucks and how much was his payment going to be? Doug gave me his big ole grin and said that the cost for both ( Rigs as he called them) was about $400,000. But that his Dad had always taught him that if he couldn´t pay cash for what he was purchasing then he didn´t need it.
At the time I was driving a beat up Volkswagen and within three months I owned a four-door Honda Accord riding in style myself. I´ll always treasure every visit I had with Doug, Jimmy, Hazel and Glenn.
My only regret is that I didn´t handle your group insurance when Scott and David came into the business. I remember the story how Glen started the company and now you folks have turned it into a dynasty. I´m very proud and happy for the entire Trexler family. I know you´ll miss Doug daily because he was such an instrumental part in running the Company.
May God be with all of you. Jane and I send our condolences. We can all rest assured that we will see Doug, Glenn and Hazel in Heaven when we finally get home.

I was saddened to hear of Doug´s passing. I have very fond memories of him when I was a brand new Michelin tire salesman. Doug taught me more about tires than my training did! My sincere condolences to the family in your loss.
