Elbert Chambers Obituary
SALISBURY - Elbert "Trey" Leon Chambers, III, age 20, of 812 W. Fisher St., died, Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2009.
Trey was the son of Elbert Leon Chambers, Jr. and Lisa Michelle Turner. He was reared by Deborah Chambers Walker.
He attended Salisbury High School and Carolina Driving Institute of Linwood. He was last employed with Patterson Farms.
He attended New Life Holy Temple Church, Heiligtown Road, East Spencer.
Survivors include his father, Elbert Leon Chambers, Jr., (Sharon) of Lexington; mother, Lisa Michelle Turner of Asheville; reared by, Deborah Chambers Walker of Salisbury; daughter, Trenity Chambers of Salisbury; brothers, Bobby Chambers, Delondon Krider and Jerome Chambers (Porsha) all of Salisbury and Troy Chambers of Charlotte; step-brother, Michael Conner, Jr. of Lexington; sisters, Donna Turner, and Candance Chambers both of Salisbury and Angel Hadden of Asheville; step-sister, LaToya Myers of Lexington; paternal grandparents, Annie Chambers of Winston-Salem and Elbert Leon Chambers, Sr. of Daytona Beach, Fla.; maternal grandparent, Curlain Turner of Charlotte; aunts; uncles; nephews; cousins friends; and girl friend, Kelly Witherspoon.
Service and Burial: Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22 at New Life Holy Temple Church. Wake prior to service at the church at 12:30 p.m. Bishop G.A. Graham, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I too have lost a son. July of this year. He was 18 and in a car accident. It is going to be the hardest thing you have ever been through. You will have good days and bad ones. It will never be the same again, but just take it one day at a time. The pain will never go away, you will however learn to live with it. I have found it really helpful to go to a support group. The one I go to is called the Cirle of Hope. We meet on Thursdays and for the whole group the second Thursday of each month. Maybe you might come sometime. We would like to have you. Again, I am so deeply sorry for your loss. Please think about the group.

It's hard to sit here and really know you are gone and never coming back since we had just spoke on Monday but my thoughts and prayers are with your family always and please look down on us tre i love u always!!

I am a friend of the family and my prayers are with u. To June, Diane, Ms. Linda and the rest of the family: draw ur strength from God. Totally rely, trust, and put faith in Him to pull u thru. We might not always understand why God allows things to happen, but take courage in knowing that Trey finished his earthly course and that God needed Him more than we do. It's so hard to believe your gone. But I know you are in Heaven looking down on us all. I remember the days you came to my house to see me and my Mother. You never left without getting a plate and asking every one was they ok. Im going to miss your smile, your jokes, and everything about you. Ill never forget you! May your soul rest in peace. My thoughts and prayers go out to the chambers family. I have been knowing TRE since he was 5 yrs old a great kid whos life was taken too soon. However, he is in a better place now. Know that TRE will be smiling down on everybody that knew and loved him.

Trey the first thing you seen was his encourging smile he was a nice guy tht always made you smile i will truly miss him & my prayers go out to his family It's not an easy thing to loose someone you love just keep your head up and trust in GOD to give direction
