Eugene Moose Obituary

Eugene O. Moose

CHINA GROVE - Eugene Oscar Moose, of China Grove, died Feb. 2, 2014, at his residence.

He was born Oct. 5, 1929, in Iredell County, son of the late Oscar Julius Moose and Florence Adams Moose.

Eugene was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a carpenter for Fieldcrest Cannon Mill.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Irene Brown Moose of the home; son Eric Eugene Moose of Chester, Va.; and daughter Kelli Lee and husband Michael of Alpharetta, Ga.; and four grandchildren, Anna Moose, Alexander Lee, Cami Lee, and Olivia Lee. He is also survived by five sisters, Nellie Julian, Wilma Smith, Genoa Miller, Olene Morton and Grace Seaman; and one brother, William David Moose.

A sister, Ethel Safrit, preceded him in death.

Arrangements: Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 4 at Calvary Baptist Church conducted by Revs. Max Smith and Darrell Coble. Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church Tuesday 1:30-3 p.m. prior to the service. At other times, they will be at the residence.

Memorials: May be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 703 Buick Ave. Kannapolis, NC 28083.
