Gregory Herzog Obituary

Gregory Alan Herzog, 71, of Salisbury, passed away Sunday, Oct. 2, 2022 at Novant Health Rowan Regional Medical Center. Mr. Herzog was born May 20, 1951 in Rochester, N.Y., to the late Charles William Herzog and Elizabeth Jane Herzog. He was a graduate of East High School in Rochester, N.Y. Mr. Herzog was employed at Hadlocks Paint Company for more than 18 years in Rochester, N.Y. He relocated to Salisbury in 1986 and was employed by Pritchard Glass for 15 years then employed and later retired from Custom Glass Products in 2015 in Salisbury. Mr. Herzog loved cars and fishing. He enjoyed spending time at Kure Beach and did not know a stranger. He is survived by his son, Zachary Daniel Herzog of Charlotte; younger brother, Philip Eugene Herzog of Sylva and several nieces and nephews. Summersett Funeral Home is serving the Herzog family. Greg and brother Phil meeting for what would be our last lunch together before Gregory's health took a turn downhill and soon took his life. Death is unpredictable, call a friend or family member today, tomorrow may be too late. Miss you Greg, your little brother little Zog.
